"I liked River Oaks Place Loudon very much. The person who assisted me with the tour was excellent. She was wonderful. I saw an exercise room. The dining area was very lovely. The residents were having fun while I was there. They were talking to each other and playing some games. One group was playing, passing a ball to each other, and they were laughing. The place was very clean."

"There was nothing I didn't like about TerraBella Athens. It was 100 percent completely clean. I wouldn't have any problem living there. They showed the meal schedule and they showed the courtyard, the physical therapy room, the different activities, the place for the barber shop, and the spa. The staff who assisted me was very pleasant and very knowledgeable."

"My mom has been at Autumn Care since before COVID. They are family owned, which is great, but there were some struggles during the pandemic with staffing. The owners seem like lovely people and in the past year they have really turned it around with more reliable and compassionate caregivers, nurses, and management. The building is beautiful, the food is better than most places, and it doesn't have that corporate feel like a lot of the bigger places do. Overall we are really happy and feel that mom is in good hands. "

"My mom moved into the Dominion of Athens. The facility itself is new and very nice. Her room is just about right for her. The activities that they do are good for my mom. She can spend time with other people, and that's probably the thing she needs most. They have different forms of exercise, different kinds of games, card games, and getting their fingernails done. They have snacks in the morning and afternoon. The staff members seem to be very receptive to my mom's needs, and they are available whenever she needs somebody. They all seem nice. They have a salon. They have availability to a physician assistant, an on-duty nurse, and a physical therapist. They have devotions and church activities. They have trips occasionally."

"It's a beautiful facility, and the nursing staff there is wonderful. My only concern is that my father didn't have a care plan meeting and that his therapy seemed to be lacking because of it. One of hIs therapists made comments based off of assumptions not facts, and I had to correct them. The rehab director, who was very kind, also seemed to be unknowledgeable about my father's medical history. Not having a care plan really seemed to affect the quality of therapy my father received. I met with the assistant administrator about my concerns the day the misinformation first arose and the rehab director soon afterwards. Prior to leaving the facility, I also met with the administrator to voice my concerns about this, but she seemed to have no knowledge of it and even denied it happening. I assured her that it did happen and reminded her that I was there when it happened. I complimented the nursing staff and the occupational therapy assistants that were so kind and patient with my father, and I am assuming that the confusion in not getting a care plan into place could have resulted in him transferring from another NHC facility where there was also not a care plan meeting. Overall, I do consider this a good facility, but please know that you need to request a care plan meeting upon arrival."
