"My mother-in-law moves to River Oaks Place. I like that it is spacious and clean, and the people are very kind and attentive. I like everything about it, actually. They are well staffed. It is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, and I like it also. It is very close to a hospital and shopping. She does not participate in a lot, but they offer a lot of activities. The atmosphere is positive and very good. I will recommend it. "

"I'm at Autumn Care; I've already got a place. I've been here for one week now. It's very clean. The staff members are very friendly and very knowledgeable about their jobs. Their food is awesome. They have, exercise with the bands as a group, they have dancing to the music to get them moving around, they have bingo, and they have karaoke. There's constantly something going on. Their prices are very fair. There's a patio with tables and a fire pit, and they do barbecues in that out there. They have a van like they got a color tour. They do different things like that besides everything else going on."

"I visited Parkview Senior Living - Maryville. It's very nice and very pretty. The staff was very nice and friendly. The room they showed me was nice, it was like a living room with a kitchenette in it, a bedroom, and a bathroom. It's like a small apartment. They feed them and they showed me some of the menus that they had. The upkeep and maintenance were excellent. They had a lot of different things, they had a library, card games, they had a pool table, a movie theater and they had a place for a beautician. There's pretty much everything that you need and the dining area was pretty."

"My father and mother were both residents at Shannondale Health Care in Maryville. I can not say enough good things about the staff of nurses at the facility. They are true professionals and go over and above the call of duty to care for the residents. I would recommend Shannondale to anyone looking for a place for a family member. "

"I liked the open floor plan at The Villages of Farragut and the fact that each unit had either a screen porch or a sunroom. The marketing person was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, gave a very thorough tour, and contacted a couple of people so that I could see their units. The living atmosphere seemed to be very pleasant."

"We’re moving in about a week to Park Place of West Knoxville. It doesn’t feel like a nursing home, and it didn’t make me want to break down and cry. It’s not fancy, but it’s sweet and very friendly, and there is enough activity level. Gina -- the program coordinator and marketing person -- has just been extremely helpful. Everybody is not in a wheelchair; some are using walkers. I liked it because my dad is in a little better situation than my mom, and I didn’t want him to go down. I just feel like it’s a right fit for my parents. It’s very close to my house, so I’ll be able to come and go, but I’ll know they’re safe. Every time I’ve gone, whenever they’re cooking, the meals always smell good, so that’s encouraging. We stayed for one of the programs yesterday, and it was so good. It turned out to be a friend of ours who was doing the photography program for them, so just things like that I know my parents will enjoy. They drive you; they take you to lunch. On Thursdays, they go shopping once a week to Turkey Creek or to a few different stores. What I liked about it, too, was it wasn’t just moving into a room. It’s moving into a small apartment, and they still have a kitchen. "
