"My wife has moved into Serene Gardens of Imlay City. They're very polite and very helpful. She has to have assistance with everything, going to the bathroom, and taking a shower. She can't walk. They're doing everything that I don't have time to get done. The staff is very respectful. My wife hasn't complained about the food, so that's good. They take care of her. The facility is excellent. She hasn't participated in any of the activities yet. She's only been there a few days and they've taken care of her transportation for radiation treatments and stuff like that. They have that all taken care of for me."

"My mother has lived at Flourish Collection (previously Blossom Springs Assisted Living) for the past 4 years. The care she receives after suffering a stroke has been wonderful. The staff treats her like a family member and gives me piece of mind when I can’t be with her. While nothing is perfect, they are always willing to listen and try to correct whatever the problem may be. While I don’t live that close to the community, I wouldn’t move her anywhere else based on the facility and care she receives. I would recommend Flourish Collection to anyone looking for a community for their loved ones."

"We place our mother in Brookdale last year they are so wonderful with her and allowed her to keep her dog as well. We have such relief knowing she is safe and well taken care of."

"Vista Springs Trillium Village is the best place in the world. It's a five-star hotel for my mother. The staff couldn't be kinder, and they're wonderful to the 24-hour nursing care residents. She's cared for in every possible way. The meal services are perfect, I have no complaints with that, and neither does she. The place itself is beautiful. They're always working really hard to keep the residents busy. They have card games, puzzles, exercises, cooking, word searches, and they're growing flowers outside. They also have an enclosed community area outside and they are very well staffed. Somebody comes in every day to entertain them, they have movies, and a beauty shop. They have everything. It's a good value for the money."

"The one I choose for my mother is The Pines of Burton Memory Care South. It is a new building. It is very nice. It is in a small town, so the caregivers are very caring and attentive. Sometimes, they may need more people that what they have, but that's just because it is memory care; some nights and days are busy, and some are not. They are not a nursing home, but they do have meds. They are very caring. They have three meals a day. They have two nice living rooms. Sometimes they only have two people there, but that's usually at night. They have an activities director that comes in twice a day. They do exercise with the beach balls, and they do different kinds of exercises. They do bible stories, crafts, and games. They have an in-house barber shop/hair salon, and the lady comes in once a week and does people's hair at an extra cost. They have a theater. It is a small room, but you can have your family in there to watch movies and eat popcorn. "

"They had people sharing rooms, like two people in a room. It was a three story building, they had an elevator going up and two floors had the patients' rooms and a nurses' station. The top floor was like a recreational room where you can play cards. You could talk to the residents there and they seem to be enjoying games. The patients are enjoying each other's company. The staff there were very, very nice. They had a church service going on when I was there and it seemed like there's a nice community feeling. If there's something that a potential resident likes to do, they make sure they would have activities in their interest. They seem like they're really engaging the people and getting them involved in things. I would recommend this to others. "

"My visits to Vista Springs have been wonderful, especially Kris D. She is amazing , kind and patient, knowledgeable and a total hands on nurse. She knows all her residents and needs, it’s so refreshing to watch how she treats and interacts with everyone. I hope when my time comes I have her in my facility. Great job Kris."

"I went to Grace Senior Living Rochester Hills. It's smaller than most. It only has 20 people in memory care, and I think 65 people, maybe in assisted living. So a total of 85 so I think they're all about the care more than about the amenities of the building. Some of them I've been to have beautiful buildings, but I don't think they're getting as good care. I like the staff a lot. They were very helpful. The nurse came to our home to interview my husband ahead of time. I've never had that happen before. So, they could custom-make a program right to his needs. So that impressed me. And it's small. It's only right now one, the owner lives locally in Rochester, and so they only own that one and they're building one other. So, the owners are hands-on. It's not a chain. Like most of them, they have a couple of hours a day where they get together as a group and they play games or they do social activities together. They also have craft rooms they go to. They get taken down for entertainment if they're interested in the first level. So, they have use of the whole building. They can go down to the assisted side, but only with either a caregiver or a family member or friend. They can't go down there without them, but they have access to the theater. They have a movie theater downstairs, entertainment, a beauty shop, and normal things. I like the smallness of it. That's part of it."

"It was clean, and they had a lot of that for the clients. I kind of got a good feeling there when I toured them. I had a tour with the physical therapist that worked there, and she was excellent. The building was all right. It was OK. Everything was good."

"It has a separate floor for memory care. The residents can't just walked off the floor. It's got elevator that is key coded. The memory care floor is geared to people that have problems. Some of the residents will be taken down to some of the activities. Sometimes a piano player would come in, they have singing, bingo, exercises, and they can come down and join that. But they'll have someone that will take them. The rooms were fine and spacious enough. They had a good setup for memory care. They take care of what they're serving the people on the memory care floor. The dining area was nicer of course on the second floor. But the memory care is not as nice."

"It is never a easy decision to make when choosing assisted living for a loved one. That being said, we are extremely pleased with the decision we made for our mother. The staff, living conditions, cleanliness, and food are all top notch! The communication through every process has been flawless. Our mother is 92 and is adjusting very well. We feel she is in excellent hands day in and day out! We would highly recommend looking into The Barns of Rochester Hills. I truly believe you will be very please with this facility!"

"We visited Courtyard Manor of Fenton. We were able to walk around the exterior. It looked like a lovely place. There are nice exterior areas that people can make use of. It was a very positive experience. We were able to be on the outside, but it looked well cared for. The staff seemed great, the one we met with anyway. We were able to see inside the window a little more and the room looked very spacious and comfortable."
