My Mom was a resident in this assisted-living facility for two years. The aides, nurses, and social workers were knowledgeable, helpful, and compassionate. They cared not only for the residents, but for the families, as well. They served three hot and nutritious meals a day, which my Mom enjoyed, and the residents' rooms were comfortable and home-like. The staff offered activities, such as games, puzzles, and some exercise. Every morning the activities director would read selected stories from the day's newspaper and would discuss the articles with the residents. Outside the Care Center was a lovely courtyard filled with comfy chairs and beautiful flowers, surrounded by a fenced-in walking area. Each staff member treats every resident like part of their own family. My Mom has since passed, but I still have warm feelings toward the Center's staff and the care they provided. I highly recommend the Alzheimer's Care Center in Gardiner, Maine.
