"It is close to my house and seems to be what my mom needs. It is clean and decent. The food is not great, but the dining room is. The people who care for her are very good. She has a room, and it is adequate in size. They have activities like exercises, bingo, and board games. "

"Brownsboro Park is a nice facility. I like its location. It's older, but things seemed to be very well maintained. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were nice and a little bit bigger. The dining room looks very nice. They also have outings for the guests, and they bring them to doctor's appointments. I know they have games. "

"We're using here for Mom. It's great and brand new, and the staff is very friendly. The accommodations are beautiful. We met with the chef, who seems very capable and competent. After visiting there once, everybody knew Mom's name. They have an exercise room, do physical therapy, and have lounges, bistro, restaurant, TV or movie room, some outside verandas, and a small garden. They gave us great appetizers."

"I put my husband in Meadowview where he died in August last year. He had Alzheimer’s, so he wouldn’t be comfortable in any place but they were good. They took very good care of him. They had activities there like bingo and they brought people in to sing. They also had church worship and that kind of stuff. It feels like a nursing home but the place looked good. I thought it was clean and everyone seemed to be attentive and very caring. I would recommend them, but that's up to the people who'd go there to check them out. "

"My visit was excellent. The atmosphere was wonderful, and we liked it immensely. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. The rooms were OK, and the dining area looked nice. It looked like there were a lot of activities. They had a live-in dog, walking trails, TV viewing room, and a small gym or exercise room."

"Storypoint Middletown is filled with lovely people. Even though it is my aunt who's living here, like her I've come to personally know and trust many folks among the caregivers, administrators, kitchen staff, and activities coordinators around Storypoint. I can see that most of the folks living here feel safe, comfortable, and respected. I've thought to myself more than a few times that I'd like to live here myself. A hearty recommendation from me."

"The Forum at Brookside was a very nice place. They have a lot of scheduled activities. It's built with a center which is very wide open and nice for group activities, and from that, there are areas going off of it for the apartments. They have a studio apartment which includes a full kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and washer and dryer. It was an impressive place. We talked to one of the ladies who are there and she's completely happy with the food. The people I met were very nice. The rooms even have nice views and they have little balconies that are protected. They have windows that open into a common areas in the middle and it's one of these branches that went out, kind of like fingers. There's a grassy area between those fingers and walking areas and benches to sit down on."

"We went to BeeHive Homes of Louisville/Lyndon. They take memory care people, but they were not labeled as such, and that might be what was going on. Most facilities have a doorbell that you have to ring, and then somebody comes and unlocks the door to let you in, but with this one, you can just walk through the door. They said there was an alarm bell that would go off, and they said they knew I was coming in as I went in the door, but I didn't hear the alarm, and that kind of made me a little leery that perhaps it might be easy for my brother to get out if he decided to start wandering around. Other than that, it was a marvelous facility. The people there were very friendly. They seemed to be very caring. The whole facility was run like it was a family home. Everybody seemed to be extremely amenable to doing whatever needed to be done to take care of my brother. So that place was fantastic. The facility's maintenance was fine. I didn't see anything wrong with it at all. I like it really well, but the only thing that bothered me is the security."

"My parents moved to Christian Care Middletown several years ago and lived in one of the beautiful garden homes which they enjoyed very much. When my dad passed away, my mom moved to the assisted living where she has made wonderful friends and gave me peace of mind that she was being lovingly cared for 24 hours a day. We like that it's a small community and you can get to know many of the lovely people who live here. The staff is great and I'm so thankful to have my mom here!"

"The facility is smaller and older, but I felt very good about it. The staff that I've spoken to have been wonderful. I'm looking ideally for 2-bedrooms and the size of the ones I saw here were good. In addition to the meals, they have a bistro where you could buy meals at other times if you wanted them. They have the theater, and an exercise room, and they have a courtyard with really nice walking paths. They have walk-in closets and a washer-and-dryer in every apartment. They have a dog park if people want to walk and have an animal they want to walk. They also have 24-hour emergency response and the staff was very informative. I would live there, even though it was an older facility, that wouldn't bother me because there was a good deal about it."

"The rooms at Magnolia Springs were acceptable. The dining area was excellent, and the staff was very open and communicative with all the residents. "

"My mother really likes it. She has a one-bedroom apartment, and it is nice. The dining room is really good; it does look like a big hotel dining room. I've eaten there three times with her, and she likes the food. They have games, they go different places, and they have some sewing clubs. I was impressed with the friendly people that took us on the tour."
