"We went to see Celebration Villa of Highland Crossing, and we liked it. We toured for independent living. It would have been nicer if there had been a balcony or something, but I think it was very clean and they were very informative. I was disappointed that there was no balcony, but maybe that's a safety feature, so there's no way for the residents to go outside from their apartment. The staff members were very gracious and very nice. If we could afford it, it would have been a good choice."

"We toured Ivy Knoll Senior Living. It was above my sister's price range. They were very accommodating because they were willing to match the other facility, but it was too far away from my niece. The rooms in Ivy Knoll were a lot larger than the other facility. We even looked at a studio, and the studio was very nice. The accommodations there would be perfect for her, but it was just the location."

"River Valley was good and clean. The people there seemed to be very caring and attentive. My grandmother lived there and did not complain, so I guess the food was OK. They had space for private rooms, which was really important. "

"Roomy and bright, large screen color tv, internet in room/wifi, rooms not curtains separate guests, share a walled bathroom, and share a very large walk in closet for both clothes and personal items Excellent medical care, highly trained nurses, therapists, therapy is great, 3 to 5 days a week, therapy rooms large and bright. Staff are respectful and caring , call me once a week for update. Call me for any changes good or bad. High rating from Medicare. They accept Medicaid and Medicare plus insurance. Good relationships with hospital, which is 14 minutes away. Very kind like being at home with friends"

"I was at Emerald Trace a couple of times. They treat you like family. They're very, very good and their occupational and physical therapists are really good. They make sure you do things. They don't just sit there and let you do whatever. The nursing staff was fantastic. The cooks were really, really good. Overall, they are one of the best places I would recommend to anybody. When you take a shower, the aides make sure you get in safely and things like that. The facilities are very clean and very spacious. Overall, it's fantastic. They have a little bit of activities, but they try to keep you busy the whole time you're there. You may have physical therapy for an hour to two hours and same with the occupational therapy. They have nice common areas that you can go and sit and talk. They got a little library. As far as I'm concerned, it's the best as far as physical therapy and occupational therapy and the way they treat you. The upkeep is very good. The staff is fantastic. Some of them bend over backwards just to make everything comfortable for you."

"We have had our loved one at the waters for a few years now. We have tried another facility prior and that facility was a joke. I will say we have had a rocky road getting things handled but honestly I can say now that was a lot more on our end and not the administration/nursing. The facility is on the smaller side, and alot of YOUNG faces but I can say my grandfather is well taken care of. I know he hates being bothered with anything. But I have seen first hand the aides going out of their way to make him more comfortable for things he hated most which that it's self is. An accomplishment!!. There may be a few staff members that could smile a little more :) but all in all I would recommend this facility. They have improved and grown alot these last few years under new management."

"Arcadia apartments are a closed-community with key access. Because it is somewhat of a retirement community, the main entrance is set up with a phone-based entry system which is great for visitors. From my experience (2 months currently) I have seen great service from the maintenance and on-site crews/workers. The only reason I have docked two stars is because of the layouts of the apartments. My grandmother in-law lives in a one-bedroom and her bedroom does not have an overhead light. With this building being for seniors-only, and with most seniors having vision problems, I do not understand the reasoning behind the lack of overhead lighting in the only bedroom. The apartment also does not accomodate visitors very well as the only entrance to the bathroom is via the bedroom, not the best layout for seniors who like their privacy in the bedroom. "

"I don't think the sanitation is good in Florence Park. My mother broke her leg and she was bedbound and a couple of times she had to lay there on her own spills for quite a while before someone came and it usually happens on weekends when they are short of staff, but through the week, everything seems to be handled pretty well. I don't think the rooms are as sanitary and clean. The people are just fine and I have no issues. They came every time we had to address something. The cleaning staff need to make sure that the rooms and bathrooms are clean and disinfected definitely. They need to be more alert especially on weekends. "

"I toured Belmont Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. It's local, and that was the biggest thing that steered me towards the ones I'm looking at. It looked very clean, and everything looked very nice. It was just like a walkthrough to where I could see the dining area, one of the empty rooms, and what it looked like. I saw some of the common areas, which were nicely furnished. The staff was very helpful and nice."

"They give my sister something to do and she feels important. The people around works with her. She goes there 4 days a week if the weather is good. The place is well-kept and organized. She's happy attending Northern Kentucky adult day care. "

"Cedar Ridge Health Campus was very on top of things. They put their patients first and foremost. The staff was very open and forthcoming. They're welcoming to family members such as myself. They do try to provide plenty of activities that are suitable for the degrees of care that they deal with. Their food was healthful and tasty. I didn't think they use a lot of spices, which I think is appropriate for their clientele. There was a good variety and plenty of it. They were very consistent in maintaining high standards. They seem to be on top of things, technology-wise, like the infrared lamps and stuff that they use to disinfect, so on and so forth. "
