Homestead of Leavenworth

The prices at Homestead of Leavenworth were a little bit high, but they were good people. The location was fine and the facility was very nice. It's not brand new, but it's clean. It's a little harder to get to. There's not a lot of parking off the main road. The studios were a little smaller. The administrator was there and she'd only been there for a few months, but she seemed knowledgeable and very caring. She offered me a wheelchair, and the guy that helped me was also knowledgeable and caring.

When I went to tour the Homestead of Leavenworth, I thought it was a nice place. But when I went back to fill out an application, the director was very rude. The other staff members were nice, though. The rooms were nice. The living atmosphere was nice and clean. There was a salon, a workout room, and laundry services. The layout was easy to get around.

My mom is a resident of Homestead of Leavenworth for five years. They have done a wonderful job with my mom, and they're not in a hurry to leave her. They're not supposed to have the care level, they don't have lifts and things like that, but she's been bedbound since last December and has not developed any bedsores or anything else. They've been great with her. Their staff members were having issues, just like everybody else, to keep up with everything. But the people are very caring and very dedicated. They have a very lovely home. They have an activities director who does stuff with the artwork. They have concerts, and they play lots of bingo. They do special things for Valentine and Halloween, and they have big birthday parties. They are very active. Their food is very good. I think Homestead of Leavenworth is a marvelous place, but I think every place right now is too much money.

Very comfortable, family like facility. People that tour this facility say it looks more like a nice hotel. And are pleasantly surprised when they see the apartments, then the beautiful court yard full of flowers, with sitting area's for the residents to enjoy.

The best place in the Leavenworth area for Assisted Living. Small, beautiful facility. Kind, attentive staff, great food, fantastic social director and very clean and well run. THE BEST. I never worry about my Mom being here. Finally, I can get sleep at night knowing she is safe, well-cared for and happy.
