"The overall atmosphere for the residents is a big deal. They really made my dad feel welcome. The staff is good. There's bingo and poker games and trips to the racetrack, casinos, and malls. There are a lot of places they go. The rooms are really nice, and the food is excellent. "

"We toured Ivy Knoll Senior Living. I like the fact that everybody seemed to be out of their rooms. They just seem to be with other people. They were socializing. Everybody seemed to be pretty content, pretty happy. We went to different places and saw different activities. I was just impressed that it seemed to be lively and social. I thought it was a nice facility. It's convenient. We went with the marketing director and she was very upbeat. I was impressed. It was a nice place. It seemed well taken care of. The rooms were standard sizes. They weren't enormous but they were certainly big enough for a bedroom."

"Traditions at North Bend was very nice. It had a walking space outside, but you pull out into a very busy street which is not ideal for seniors. The inside of the building was nice. I only met one person who gave us the tour. We saw the dining area, and it looked nice. The apartments were also nice. Because of Covid, they aren't letting just everybody walk around everywhere. It's a new building, so things are nice because it's brand new. They've only been open I think about a year."

"Covington Ladies Home is small and personalized. It's been a lady's home for 125 years. It's a big old mansion, but it's very well kept and updated. It's beautiful and they keep it very clean. The staff is very caring and that's the most important thing. My mom has been there for almost five weeks now. She loves the food. The staff everyone I've dealt with is very friendly and on top of things. They call me for every little thing. The only drawback for a 125-year old building is there are no individual toilets in each room. There are sinks, vanity mirror, but you have to go two doors down for a toilet and shower. I thought that doesn't really bother her or me much. But it would be great if they could get modernized and put in bathrooms in each room. "

"The Wellington is nice and it's a good fit for my dad. The place is very clean and the food is good. The staff and residents have been very friendly and welcoming. It's in a very nice neighborhood that's close to stores and the hospital. He has a 1-bedroom with very nice windows and it's airy, it has a fairly large bathroom, and a walk-in closet that he really likes. It was a little expensive compared to the other places, but we still think it's a good value."

"My brother is staying at Blue Rock Senior Living. There are very few residents there. My brother said the food is just tolerable. He says sometimes it's not that good, but he gets plenty of food. The room is very small, but he's making the best of it. I think they keep it very clean. The TV system that they have is Roku, so my brother cannot watch any Reds or Bengals games on his TV, and that's probably the biggest improvement they could make. There's one lady there who's been very helpful to him. She helped him set up his computer and other things. They do my brother's laundry once a week. They clean his room once a week. They have a stairlift, but it's very slow. Their courtyard and patio are very good. They have a very small library, so my brother goes to the public library."

"We went to Ohio Living Llanfair. I like the fact that it's kind of an all-encompassing type of community. It's a large campus with a whole lot of things there. So I think if my mom were to move there, she could live there for the rest of her life. They seem to have a very good staff and the apartments were nice. They provide two meals a day and one meal a day on the weekends. I guess the main thing is the continuity of the care of the person, and talking with other residents, there is a woman who is 101 who lived there for 25 years. The people we talked to were happy and they had been there for some time and that registered well with me. I think that the pricing was very reasonable. Residents were coming up to our tour guide, and talking to him. They had had an event earlier in the week about antique cars, with music and ice cream, and they were saying how much they had enjoyed the event. So people seemed to be engaged in activities and were happy there. They have two television stations for the residents, so one will give the calendar of events for the day, and then the other station records events live. So like, if my mom didn't want to go to the church service, she could watch it on TV, or if they had a concert and she didn't want to go, but she would like to watch it, she can watch it in her quarter. So, I thought that was a nice thing. They have a church, they have a library, they have an arboretum, and the grounds are nice. Right now. It's my favorite of all the ones that we visited. They showed us the menu for their meals and explained to my mom how to order her food to go, then If my mom chose not to leave her room on a certain day, they would bring it to her for free, which, I felt, was very kind."

"I went to Northgate Park. I like the positioning of the homes where my mom could go outside if she wanted to. I like all the different activities and things they have. I really like the staff, too. They were super friendly. The building was very clean and very nice. I saw their restaurant-style eating area where they order from a menu, and that was nice. I saw the therapy room. It's a little small, but it's nice. I like the family atmosphere that the place has. The facility seems old, but it looks very nice, and I still like that place."

"My mother is in Christian Village at Mt. Healthy. It's very nice and very beautiful. The residents are well cared for. We're just really happy with our choice. My mom is on a feeding tube. She's in nursing care. They have activities, but she hasn't been there long enough to participate in any of them. It's an awful lot of money, but she's being well cared for."

"Stay away from this facility! Staff is lazy, untrained and uncaring. Residents hygiene is not attended to, laundry is rarely done and any request is ignored. Staff is not responsive and is full of excuses. I am very frustrated with this facility."

"I loved the setting of Evergreen Retirement. It had peaceful grounds all around it. I saw two rooms; one without a balcony and one with. Both were wonderful and of good size. I liked the hallways. They are nice and wide with lots of light. They seem to have a sense of more activities maybe because of all the walking areas that are safe to walk. They also have a coffee shop with lots of tables. If I had a place to recommend for my aunt, it would be Evergreen. "

"It is extremely nice. The facilities are beautiful. The grounds are beautiful. The dining area is extremely nice. The staff we met were extremely nice and friendly. I only saw 2 rooms that were like studio rooms. They have a dresser, closet, and space for a TV. They have a theater room and a lot of places to just sit and lounge. Everything is very bright,.The furnishings are relatively new. They have an exercise room with exercise things in it. There's also a salon inside."

"My overall tour experience of Harmony at Anderson was good. It was a nice place. The woman that gave me the tour was very nice. She answered a lot of questions. However, when I went into memory care, the people that work there didn't interact with me. They didn't say hi or even speak at all. So that was my only hesitation a little bit there. They just looked at us and went on. However, the staff that gave me the tour was very nice, very knowledgeable, and very accommodating. The rooms were very nice. It's a relatively new building. Everything seemed to be in good working order. They had an outdoor area specifically for memory care. It was very nice, and it was fenced-in. They had raised garden beds where the tenants could work in the garden, plant, and do things like that, which I think was very nice. They had a good-sized activity room. The layout was a little weird to me, but the upkeep was nice. "
