"Mom has been a resident at Brookdale in Glen Ellym, IL for eight years. Absolutely every aspect of this facility is above and beyond expectations. The staff has always been very attentive and accommodating and has done a wonderful job through the pandemic keeping the residents involved, informed and motivated. Mom has nothing but high praises about the facility, the administration and staff. How wonderful to know that she is being well cared for and attended to, and how much she loves her surroundings! Five stars throughout!!"

"Marian Village was expensive, but the whole atmosphere, the staff, the graciousness, and the beauty was what I like the most about the whole environment. They have lots of activities, the food is delicious; they serve one meal a day. I would recommend them although it’s a buy-in facility. "

"Storypoint was such a gift to my mom and my family. Every single person there treated my mom with kindness, thoughtfulness, and skill. The entire staff is just full of genuinely good people who were looking out for my mom from day one. They have also instituted excellent protocols so that residents are well cared for. For instance my mom went to the emergency room on multiple occasions, and each time I received a call to let me know, just to make sure I was aware. For any concerns, it was always easy to communicate with them and get a quick answer. At the point my mom needed more assistance, we were rapidly and easily able to obtain it. The facility is just lovely. My mom's apartment was beautiful, and with a view of tree-tops and sky. The whole place is well-appointed and meticulously cleaned. My mom really enjoyed the food, and her meals in the dining room were the highlights of her day. She was seated with people who she came to cherish, and looked forward to seeing them. I have to give a special mention to Stacey, who went out of her way on multiple occasions to give me such wise and heartfelt support in making decisions for my mom, for which I am truly grateful. It is people like her that make Storypoint exceptional. My mom was so fortunate for the time she spent at Storypoint, and I'm grateful to everyone who took such beautiful care of her. I can't recommend Storypoint more highly."

"My husband is in British Home right now. He is in a double room, but it's very nice. For the most part, the staff is 90% terrific. He's trying to do some physical therapy. He's got COPD, and he is having a hard time, and they're trying to get things figured out for him. He really enjoys when they bring music around. They have music on Friday and Sunday. He is a former musician, and he likes the things that they have. He can't really do some of the things, as he's got some cognitive problems. The dining area is very nice. You're able to sit out and talk with the people if you wish and it's very pleasant. "

"It has a nice homey feel to it. I like the sizes of the rooms. They are very high on my list. The staff seemed pretty good. As I was going in, a bunch of people were sitting out, and I talked to them for about 15 to 20 minutes asking them about the place, and their general opinion is on the positive side. They did not seem to have a lot of complaints. They were all very honest. I never did get to see their assisted living situation. "

"My aunt is a resident at Monarch Landing and she was very happy there. The staff was very nice to her. I saw their dining room and it was always quite impressive. They place has a computer room, a gymnasium, a swimming pool so it was quite extensive. "

"Concord Place was a hotel at one time. It was very large. The staff member that I met was friendly and professional. The apartment itself was bright and comfortable looking, but the hallways and the common areas looked very dated, old, and dark. I wouldn't put my sister in there because it's a huge facility and they had a floor for veterans. They're doing good things, but the person we were looking for is on the younger side. She's only 65, and I knew that that wasn't the place for her because it wasn't interactive enough. I knew she wouldn't be happy there. There were some people sitting in the common area, but there were no signs to me of activities going on. They had activities in their literature, but I didn't see anything. They were being very careful considering the pandemic and distance from other residents. The staff member I met followed up with me afterwards. She was very pleasant."

"So far no problems, and she is doing pretty well here. The staff is very cooperative, friendly, and does everything that can help. She had a big bedroom, small kitchen, a dining area, living area, closet, and a little dresser. The food is where seniors eat. They have lots of activities, they even take them shopping and get the bus, or they take them to certain place. The place works for us so we could go and visit her since its closer to us, and it stood out to us. So far, so good."

"It was a little bit smaller. It didn't have (I don't think) as much room for my mom, if she was to go there and get away from anybody. It was not as spacious, but it was very clean. Their workout room was part of the physical therapy part of it. I'm not sure if there's a separation or not. I know that they said that you can use it, but I think it was combined. We were able to check the menu. It was very good."

"I had a very cordial visit to Tinley Court. Me coming from a house, the rooms are rather small for me. However, I appreciated the courtesy of the lady that was showing them to me. I would recommend it to anybody that would want to kind of scale down to a smaller area. They showed me at least four rooms. They also showed me an activity room, a computer area, the lunchroom, and a library. It was okay. It's very convenient to shopping, too."

"We really liked Brookdale Oak Park. We loved the amenities and the fact that the location was near my mom's house. Everything was very nice, but Mom's just not ready to move in yet. We looked at the two-bedroom, two-bath unit with great views because it had full windows. The staff was very friendly. The food was very good. They had a lot of activities and a bus that took the residents places. They have movies every day and visiting speakers, plus card games and exercises. It's a great neighborhood because we all grew up here, so our doctors and everything else are all right here. It is important for my mom that she stays within her neighborhood. The residents seemed very happy. "

"It's just a comfortable feeling going at Cedarlake. We had lunch there, and the food was very good. The residents seemed very friendly. "

"I liked Hanover Place because it was just an apartment, and it was not required to have the meals included. I liked the apartment layout. I looked at a one bedroom, but I would prefer a two bedroom. It was nice, clean, and well done. I would like to have had a washer/dryer in the unit, but they had a laundry room. The staff that I met during the tour was very friendly and very informative. One thing that could be an issue was that the parking was outside uncovered."

"Sunnymere is like a warm, friendly, family home. The management and staff are dedicated to providing the residents with excellent, flexible, accommodating care. There is a great ratio of staff to residents to provide watchful, compassionate, personal attention. The food is delicious and Mom has a beautiful view of trees, birds, and flowers. Our family is very thankful to Sunnymere for the great care they give Mom. Rest assured you will be confident in trusting Sunnymere with your parent’s well being and happiness."
