"Wabash Retirement Center is so resident centered. My Aunt really feels at home with her new neighbors. She is in a nice large room with a sweet roommate. I seemed to be more upset about her going in the nursing home then she was. My Aunt still had a very sharp mind and we could sit and play cards for hours on end. She just couldn't remember to take her medicine when she needed to. The Nurses were so wonderful to her and would stop by and speak with me each time I would visit. The cna's really seemed to have a true respect for the residents. There job is a hard one, and I really think they do a great job. My Aunt talks about how friendly they are and how they are sweet little ladies. One of her favorite activities in the home is the arts and crafts. My Aunt has always loved making things with her hands and the ladies that work in that department have so much patience, I really feel they have a calling for what they do. "

"Heritage Woods of Benton is wonderful, and I love it. The staff is very friendly and supportive, and the food is excellent. My room here is very good and everything is great. I think it's wonderful here. I have only been in my apartment since I got here, because of the virus, but they have a nice little restaurant where we have lunch."

"My mother has been in StoneBridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for a while. She's settled and everything's good. It's been excellent. The staff is wonderful. They have a really good patient-nurse relationship. They're very kind to her and that really matters to me. They're very accommodating, answered all my questions, and just work with the families really well to make sure that their loved ones are cared for. She likes the food. It's a small facility and older. It's not like a brand new, shiny facility, but they make it homey. It's not as clean and nice as a hotel, but it's not bad. It's average."

"My dad is staying at Helia Healthcare of Benton. It's more than adequate. They've got him on a low-salt diet so he complains about the food not having any flavor or not tasting very good. I also didn't find it very appetizing. My dad was able to play Bingo and listen to some singers come in and play guitars."

"My aunt moved into the Fifth Season of Benton. The staff was very nice and informative. The room was exceptionally clean and nice. It was the perfect size. There were just the right number of residents there. They take very good care of my aunt when she needs something. They are usually right there. It is just a very friendly and caring staff. They have a salon, a full-time cafeteria, and an outside courtyard."

"My mother in law is in a nursing home right now called Frankfort Healthcare. It’s in good shape, it's clean all the time, and the nurses take care of everybody well. They have activities like bingo and singers coming in "

"My dad has been at Villas of Holly Brook. It is a beautiful place, it's quiet, they have good food, everyone is cheerful. They care about their residents and take very good care of them. His apartment is spacious and clean. Each resident wears a buzzer and they have a system where they know where each resident is at all times; it's connected to that buzzer. If they are anywhere in the building and they press their buzzer, they can track them. That is very cool. For activities, I think they have bingo and a pool table. They also have several gathering places where the residents sit and talk, just like at home. They have church services. They also have planned activities pretty much on a weekly, and maybe even a daily, basis. They require a 24-hour notice for visitations and only two people at a time. You must wear a mask, they will screen you when you come in, like take your temperature and ask some questions about exposure. I think that's still going on. It is expensive but it is also a good place."

"I absolutely love Addus Adult Day Center! My mother has attended the day center for 3 years and this past year has been such a breath of fresh air. They have increased their knowledge in dementia and alheimers care, the nurses have such great communication to me and my wife in regards to my mothers care at first I wasn't sure about all the changes but the look on my mothers face and her excitment everyday has convienced me that the changes are in her best interest. I don't know what I would do without them. I do not want my mother in a nursing home she goes to the center and gets activites, physical therapy, good meals and she loves going everyday and even gets upset if I want her to stay at home with me on Saturdays because she wants to go. I couldn't be happier with the day care as I am now. "

"I was only at Lavender Ridge one time, and it was just a quick visit. I think it looked really nice. The rooms were good. I only talked to the one lady who was the director there, and she was great. She told them that they have activities for the residents. But I did not see anything not while I was there. The dining area, I saw one patient room. They have a communal bathroom for each aside on the building. Instead of a shower area in each of the apartment, they have a generalized one. It looked very nice."

"My husband is at Nature Trail Health Care Center. I think it's a wonderful place. It's nice. It's clean. Everybody is extremely friendly. They're very helpful and very caring. I would recommend it to anyone. There are two persons in a room. And if you need anything, they're right there to help you. Like if my husband has to be taken out of his chair and put in his wheelchair, they'll use the lift that lifts him up and sits him in his chair, and then they put him right back in when he needs to be changed or if he needs a shower or anything. They're right on top of that. They take my husband into therapy, and they try to get him to do a thing with his feet, just like riding a bicycle but he is sitting in this wheelchair, and he is pedaling on this thing that's on the floor. They had a party at Christmas time. They had a party at Thanksgiving time. And at Christmas time, everybody got a great big bag with all kinds of Christmas presents. They're caring. If they have a question or anything, they call me on the phone. And they keep me posted on everything. The staff members are all so friendly. The food looks nutritious. My husband has a problem with eating because there are certain foods that he doesn't like, but I think what they feed him is very good. It's just his tastebud. Physically, the facility is very kept and very clean. You walk in the door, and you don't smell pee or anything else. They're always cleaning. However, I don't think my husband takes part in too many activities. He kind of stays to himself except when it comes to time to eat. He also has a couple of three people that sit at the same table with him that he likes. Regarding value for money, it's pretty much the same as it was at the other place."

"I have a family member who is at the nursing home of Mount Vernon Health Care Center. The facility is understaffed. The building smells most of the time. My family member can't get up on his own. He has trouble walking and they don't change him like they're supposed to. He has accidents and has to sit on his wet pants all day. His room is OK. He's supposed to be sharing with somebody, but so far, they haven't gotten anybody in there. They just sit and watch television or sit in the dining room, and then walk around and stand at the nurse's station talking to the nurses. So, they have no activities. I haven't been there too much when they are serving food, but I take a lot of his food over there to him because he can't eat what they serve. They could improve by getting more staff and helping their patients more. They could give them some activities to do, and try to get them to associate with other patients instead of just talking to the staff all the time."

"I visited Heritage Woods of Mt. Vernon for my mom, and it was lovely. However, they did not have a memory care there. They were helpful. The rooms were very nice. The place was very clean. They have patio. The dining room was big and clean."
