The Anna Veterans' Administration Home in Anna, Illinois, is an excellently run facility. When one enters the doors, one is greeted with a pleasant atmosphere, free from the smell of bodily excrement or body odor. Residents are well groomed, clean, appropriately clad, and have good social interaction with staff and other residents, as their condition permits. Residents unable to propell wheelchairs or ambulate are brought by staff to the nurse's station or one of two beautifully equipped activity rooms. There is a pleasant interaction between residents and staff.
