DO NOT TRUST THIS FACILITY. THEY ARE UNDERSTAFFED AND UNRESPONSIVE WHEN I USE THE CALL BUTTON. I WAS BETTER OFF BEFORE I WENT. THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO SCHEDULE DAILY THERAPY, BUT THEY ONLY DID ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOURSELF OR LOVED ONES

The Care Center of Honolulu was really bad. I knew that they were understaffed because they would always tell my sister to let her bladder fill up first before she goes pee because she pees all the time. Their therapist would say he’ll get back to you and that he was busy, then he’ll go home and say that he’s out of time. It was a repetitive type of thing, and she was there for several weeks. The Care Center of Honolulu was not doing their job. What they did to my sister was not right. One of the male orderlies shooed her out and asked her why she called and rang the bell. He got mad, and he threw the call button on her head. Stay away from that place. It’s bad news. I know buildings, and I can see that the facility is old. They would feed everybody the same kind of food, and it was too salty, and to counteract that, they give them blood pressure medicines. Then they’ll feed them sweets which they’ll enjoy, but seniors tend to have diabetes. The other thing, too, is my sister does a lot of cooking and she told me that they were recycling some of their food which is OK, but she found part of some dish in her breakfast, so the food quality was not up to standard. I’m not a trouble maker. However, when I see inequities, disrespect, and inappropriate behavior, I want to protect the next client. Nobody should be subjected to what my sister was subjected to.
