I really liked Brookdale Hartwell. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were fine, just a little smaller than what I would've liked. Everything was nice and clean. It's a cheerful place. They have people who come in and play the piano and sing, they have an area where they gather, watch TV together, play cards, and do different activities. They even have a library. All they had available was a one-bedroom with a bath.

Brookdale Hartwell was a very hospitable looking place. It looks fairly new to me, and it wasn't rundown.

The staff was really friendly and caring, but my father is very astute, and we just thought a lot of the residents at Brookdale Hartwell lost a lot of mental capacity. He needs somebody that he can play and carry on conversations with. We just felt like a lot of that was blocking there because people were more advanced in mental decline than he is. It was depressing. We want something with an actual apartment with a living room, a kitchen, and 1 or 2-bedrooms.

Everybody was very friendly, very concerned, and informative. I learned more visiting them than anything else. The rooms are spacious with handicapped accessible bathrooms. The dining area was beautiful. Everything looked quite clean and sanitary. It didn’t give the expression of being brand new, but it wasn’t run down at all.

We moved my father into this community. I moved him to the closest one to me. I could go see him when I wanted to. He stayed there for about six weeks. He went downhill and passed away from then. They were good to my father but it didn't work out because he was just too far into the dementia. They tried to do everything they could for him. I have nothing bad to say about them. The rooms were small but efficient, nice and kept clean. All the people there were very nice, too.

My uncle is here, an assisted living facility in Hartwell, GA. Our family was very pleased with both the building and the services. The place was clean and they have very spacious rooms.
