"My friend chose them because of the space mostly, in the hallway, in the dining room, in the entrance. The others were too claustrophobic. They're spread apart nicely. It's just a better community. The sales guy is just the most wonderful man in the world. We got my friend the one-bedroom with the den. We could move all her furniture. It has a big bathroom, which is nice if you're in a wheelchair. It's comfortable. There's a huge walk-in closet and a linen closet. It's perfect. I have no complaints whatsoever about it. The staff is more than fabulous. You go one time and they remember you. Every single time that you're back, they remember your name, they remember who you are. They're just wonderful and most of them have been in there for over 20 years. The staff is the cream of the crop. My friend is bedridden, so her three meals will be served in her room. It comes in China, silverware, and a tray, so I'm excited about that. She gets a choice of what to eat. It's beautiful, and the people are so nice. It's just great."

"I'm moving there probably in October. It's small and very friendly. The layout was efficient and easy to maneuver. Utilities, meals, trash service, linen service, beauty parlor, all kinds of activities are included. They have exercise, art, church, outings, and they provide transportation."

"We visited Hammond Glen, and actually we were quite impressed with it. We were very impressed with how engaged the residents were. Obviously, people there were very satisfied with the community itself, and to me, that was very telling. You can visit a place, and the staff can be wonderful, but I think you get a much better thought of how it would be living in a place from the residents. It was very clean and bright. They have an entire calendar of events for the things that they do and some things that they encourage family members to participate in as well. The layout of the apartments was very well thought out. The dining room was beautiful, and we got to meet one of the chefs. We were just impressed with how inviting it was. When we left, they were so inviting. They were having a Halloween party for kids coming up on the following weekend and even though we weren't moving in, they still made a point of inviting my granddaughter, who was with us at the time for the visit, to come back down, and actually sent us an email following up on it. These are the types of people who are running this place, and that's honestly the type of community that I'm looking for for my mom. "

"The people at The Holbrook Decatur were understanding. It was well-facilitated and supported. There was a great supporting staff, and they kept the residents involved in activities. The apartments were nice-sized, up-to-date, very accommodating, and very clean. I wasn't able to see a non-furnished room as one would walk into it if they lived there."

"It is a very nice community. It is very clean, and the caregivers seemed to be genuinely interested in the residents. My mom is in the memory care part of the facility, and they seem to have an adequate amount of activities for them. The food seems to be good. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with what has transpired so far. There are a couple of really nice courtyards that the residents can utilize that are full of flowers. One has a waterfall, and there are rocking chairs on the front porch. It is open, and it is very light. Parking is a little bit of an issue, but that is basically it. The rooms are of good size, and the bathrooms are extremely large. It is nice and bright. The halls are extremely wide, and the colors are nice. They do a lot of things with magazines. They have a frequent church type service that is handled by volunteers. There are sitting and stretching exercises for most of the people that are in wheelchairs. The memory care people can participate in the events and activities that are primarily for the assisted living group. They have a full time activities director that is always doing something that is fun for them. It is a nice place, and I think I made a good choice. "

"It had a library and a play area. The staff was nice. The dining and the menu were excellent. The place was clean. There was some seating areas for the residents to relax."

"The Addison of Sandy Springs is close to where we live, it is fairly new, and it's beautiful, bright, big, and friendly. I think it's perfect for my mom's living situation. We are thinking of moving her to their assisted living facility. The choices of rooms were nice, and the price was not too bad, either. I think she would like it there. A great deal of why we are considering it is its proximity to where we live. It's so close that we can drive there in 10 minutes. The place is well-lit, modern, and it has a very nice dining area. The reception area is really nice, and the perks are nice, too. They even have a private dining area for birthdays or something like that, so if my mom can't get out, we can use the private dining area. They have a lot of activities. They have a theater room, bingo, game nights, and all kinds of different things. The place is really inviting. I met the chef, and he's a good dude. I've met a couple of the residents who are there, too, and they were really nice and very kind. The person we did the tour with was fantastic. We were supposed to be there at 4:30, but didn't get there until about 5:15. She was very kind. She waited and served us well. The rest of the staff, the ones I met, were also very kind and very cordial. They seemed really concerned about the people who lived there. I did not sample their food, but it smells delicious. They invited me to come up and have a bite to eat, and the dining room was full of smiling faces, so I think they did a good job."

"My dad is moving here. It appears clean and appears to have a modern layout. He's on the third floor (which would be kind of a drawback), but they make rounds every two hours to check on every individual; so that helps. The rooms are adequate, and they 're up to date as far as the equipment. The bathrooms are large, and there's a large walk-in shower. It's basic, but it's very adequate. We're just moving in, so I can't get in too much detail on the staff. They've been pleasant in working with us, but he's actually just moving in tomorrow. They have a theater room, and they have games. No activities were going on at the time, but that's not a main focus for us. I haven't tried the food, but the menus look good; the variety looks good."

"We chose Medlock Gardens for my brother because we like their welcoming attitude. They just had a wonderful attitude, the place had a nice feel about it, and it seemed like they were very caring and supportive, and thoughtful. They have people who come in to do hair and stuff like that, it's a small facility. So it's like you're going to an apartment house, and everybody has either a balcony or an outside area that they can go sit in from their rooms. There's a little hidden garden in the back they can go to, it's very nice."

"My aunt is currently a patient there. And I have nothing but good things to say about this facility. They take care of my Aunt very well. She's always in a good mood. Every time I come see her. And thanks for keeping me stress free."

"Heartis Buckhead was extremely nice. Maybe even nicer than the other facility I visited in the same price range, which is right on the edge of doable for me. It was a high-rise building. So, the apartments were absolutely beautiful with great views. All the amenities were nice. The person who helped us was more than helpful. They had a beautiful brochure, so it was just a very first-class place. The only negative thing was it was expensive, but the staff was wonderful. They spent a lot of time with us. It's a brand new building so it was very nice."

"Shekinah Home was very nice and clean. It's small, but it's gated and secure. They have the standard things like room and board, and they have a calendar of events. They also have a salon upstairs and a stylist visits periodically to do hair and nails."

"My father moved in last March. The number-one reason I chose it for him is how close it is to the VA facilities, since he is a veteran. I also chose it because of the amenities that they offer and the fact that they have an apartment available, because these places are hard to come by sometimes. The food service is three meals a day, and he likes the different activities over there. I like the fact that there are laundry facilities on every floor, so he could continue to do his own laundry. He gets his hair done there, so he doesn't have to go far to get that done. The grounds are very nice, too, and they have outdoor activities, as well. The community as a whole is very welcoming."

"I went to All in One Personal Care. I liked it because it was nice and clean, and the caregiver was friendly and knowledgeable. She gave me a lot more information. So, if I had to choose a place, I would put him there. The structure was great, it was clean, no odor. I highly recommend it. It has a real peaceful atmosphere, serenity. It was a small house, but it was only about three rooms where she could hold up to four partitions at a time, but it was nice."
