My mom stayed at Evergreen Nursing Home for a couple of days until we knew that they can't do NG tube procedures. The place is just a couple of blocks from where I live. The staff were phenomenal. The care that they give was phenomenal, but my mom didn't like the place because Evergreen is a no restraint facility and she did not feel secure.

Evergreen Nursing Home is a 60 bed nursing home in Alamosa, Colorado. Fifteen of those beds are on a locked ward for patients with special needs due to Alzheimer or general dementia. The facility has been in operation for at least 10 years. The facility does not look modern and up to date but is working on that. The grounds of the facility are well landscaped with old growth trees and vegetation in general. There is an enclosed yard for residents to visit or facility activities. The kitchen is good sized and well stocked. Residents can order from the facility menu or order something of their own choice. Activities are offered every day ranging from baking to crafts. There are visits from the local priest once a week that many of the residents attend due to Alamosa's large catholic community. Most rooms are multiple occupant rooms but some residents pay extra to have private rooms.
