Mabini Adult Day Health has been around for 30 years or so and has so far survived the California budget crunch. It's in a safe neighborhood and caters to the north and south of Market Asian community. Pros: The program director is a licensed clinical social worker (very good and experienced). They offer free transportation to and from the facility. They contract with the San Francisco Health Department for nursing staff (and the nursing staff they get is well qualified). There's little turnover among staff. The food is excellent. They serve hot food every day and accommodate special diets. They accept Medical (free), private insurance with a co-pay, and private pay on a sliding scale. Cons: It's a small facility, and the whole place feels congested. The exercise area for PT and OT is extremely small. It's an older building, and the hallways are narrow.
