"I liked Welbrook Arlington. It was pretty nice, and what I liked is that even if one of your parents is in assisted living and one in memory care, they could still have meals together. The model room seemed pretty nice. My aunt was sharing a room with another person, I think to help with the cost. I liked the dining area, I liked how the 2 facilities are connected, and everybody was friendly and helpful. It was close to my work. The staff was pretty hands-on. They had a nice outdoor area where you could stroll around, and they even have a pool you could use in the summertime too, so that was pretty cool."

"Cadence at Rancho Cucamonga is one of the places that I've visited that is excellent. It was more expensive and the facilities were not as nice. It wasn't as luxurious as far as the outside, and the grounds were not as nice as the one we chose for my parents. Their rooms were really nice, and the staff was excellent. There was no pool. It was on the corner, which was kind of an unsafe area. It's on a corner with lots of traffic. Since my dad drives, I wanted him to be in an area where it was a safer or more residential type neighborhood. It's an assisted living; it also has independent living, as well as memory care. The courtyard was kind of ugly. It had desert plants, and I told them that they should have planted more luscious pretty flowers. That was my only complaint; otherwise, it was all great. The food wasn't that great. It was mediocre."

"I liked it the best. It was a high rise with mountain views from the windows, and they seemed pretty good to me. They had studios and one-bedrooms. The dining room was good and elevators were speedy. It looked like it had lots of services and activities. The people seemed very nice. I didn’t try the meals, but they looked good. They also had a nice, little cafeteria or restaurant that served three meals a day. "

"Ivy Park at Alta Loma had lots of activities to keep the seniors active. My mom went on the tours with me and she felt really comfortable there. I like that they have lots of staff that interact with the seniors. They stated that they have weekly mini outings that she would really love. They will take them on many field trips or to the Dollar Tree to go shopping. They take them to museums and local areas. Everyone received us very well, up to the point that my mom will be staying at their facility in their memory care. The coordinator emails me when they have other events there that we can go to just to get my mom more familiar with everyone there. We've been invited to two different outings since then and she's stated that she will continuously contact me for any outings that they have there that we can go to. I really enjoyed that. She was wonderful. She's very thorough and very friendly. She made my mom feel really, really comfortable. The apartments were very nice. We loved the setup. There's two different setups, and we loved the way everything was arranged. I also liked that the rooms come unfurnished, but they can provide you with furniture to rent. It's an additional cost, but it's very reasonable. The maintenance was wonderful. Everything was very clean and always well organized, in my opinion. The different rooms that the individuals are able to go through and partake in activities were set up very well. The dining area looks very good. I liked the way it was set up, and it looked very comfortable. My mom wanted to actually sit down and have a meal there when we were going through at that particular point. She was very enthused with the dining and how it was set up, like the tables and napkins. The coordinator took her time with us. She never rushed us or anything. She took all the time. She felt we needed it, and I felt more comfortable like that. I wasn't rushed or anything."

"Brookdale North Euclid is a small, nice community. It's clean but has more of a dorm feel because it's long, dark, and skinny, not very light and open. I wasn't super impressed, but the person who assisted me was nice, and I didn't have any complaint about her. They take the residents out once a week and have an activities room, a hairdresser/barber that would come each week, a few sitting areas, a library, and an outside patio area."

"I like the Valencia because the dining room is huge and open, it's a different kind of atmosphere, and it didn't feel like a tight bunch of old people there. It didn't say assisted living, although they said my mother could be there, and we just hire somebody and pay extra to assist her if she needs somebody to get her dressed or whatever. The staff were very nice, and I didn't have any issues with them. It's within 5 to 10 minutes from family members, and if they would pick her up, they could take her to a park. They have games, transportation, and a little exercise room, and the location is close to stores. They have a lady that is cutting people's hair, and that's nice for my mother because she is very vain. They have a podiatrist that comes in many times a month. The rooms were very nice. I really would prefer her being there. I went there twice, and the second time I took my mother. I liked the fact that they had a place where if she got up during the night and wanted to go get coffee or donuts at 11:00 or 12:00, it's always there. "

"My dad is living in Genesis Manor VI. It's a very clean and a beautiful house, and the people are very well-mannered. The dining area is great. It’s a little less expensive than where my dad used to stay."

"My mom loves Atria and so do I! The workers and residents are so sweet! I'm so happy that my mom enjoys the people, Chef made food, and fun activities throughout the day and night! Such a clean place and well designed. My favorite part is the weekly live entertainment! I love joining my mom in her activities whenever I visit. I feel so good knowing that my mom is being taken care of very well and she's very happy! My mom says she has the best room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful park. She LOVES watching pickle ball games from her comfortable balcony chair! From physical activities to mental activities to challenge the mind. To just pure fun!"

"Our tour experience was excellent -- even stellar. They have everything; they have full assisted living. They have a caring, constant staff, better food than I've seen in any other place, and a better environment. It's clean, it's new, and everything's fresh and bright."

"I toured Allara Senior Living. It was a pleasant tour. The facility looked nice. The people seemed good, caring, and competent. The facility was really clean. It was a new facility, so everything was really nice. There was a beauty shop or a barber shop. They had a gym, a theater room, an activity room, and a dining room. The food was fine. However, they don't have a pool."

"We really liked the Sunlit Gardens in Alta Loma for my mom because my mother-in-law was also there. She was in assisted living, and she was there until she passed. They were just amazing. They did every single thing they possibly could to help my mom, and they were really, really good. I was very comfortable with my mom being there. The staff was all very caring. I can't really base the food on her because she just stopped eating once she got there. I've eaten there before, and the food was really good. They had music in the living room, and they had lots of stuff going on. The place was also very clean and very nice."

"It was very nice. Tammy, who was the person who spoke to us and gave us a tour, was very warm and very caring and had a lot of patience to answer our questions, and we felt very welcome. The units were beautiful. We saw about three units, and we were very impressed with them. We checked the dining room area, but we didn't try their food. The dining room was very clean, had lots of space, and it's very inviting. I didn't observe any activities. But they took us to the movie room, where you can watch movies, and I saw the gym. And I like the idea that they take the residents shopping a couple of times a week and that they have outings to go to, like a casino or to dinner. My brother is impressed with it."
