"I like the activities at High Point Residence and the location of the room/proximity to where the activities and dinner are. The appliances are supplied, but all of the meals are included. That's three meals a day and then there is a salad bar and a snack bar that's set up almost continuously. My mother-in-law's not there yet, but everything looked very clean. The staff was very friendly. Megan was wonderful and very nice. My mom and dad also visited there, and they said the food was good. The facility is new. It's only maybe less than ten years old and it's very nice."

"This is one of the cleanest facilities I have visited. There are plenty of activities to keep the most active resident busy. Residents are made to feel special and a part of the home. Facility is deficient free. I give it a five star rating. "

"Parkwood Meadows Senior Living was very nice. The staff was friendly. They have lots of activities that they do. They have an area where they had a piano, an area if they wanted to dance, an area to play cards, and other things to do. They also had a TV area with a large screen television and there was a kitchen that the residents can use if they wanted to cook a meal. They have two nice little outdoor areas for them to go out and sit in. It's got a hospital that is just down the street from it."

"My mom is at The Villas of Jackson. It's wonderful. They have a very caring staff, and they are constantly doing activities and keeping them busy. They take them on van rides in the country, sometimes they have barbecues, they do facials, they have people come and do their nails, and they have a salon on site. The memory care is a fairly new facility. I think they told me they opened in December, so the rooms are very clean, and they're spacious. Each resident has their own room and bathroom, and then we could bring furniture from her house to set it up like her own. My mom loves the food. They have a cook on site who loves to make desserts, and every time I ask her, she says the food is really, really good. They get to order what they want for breakfast, they're in a dining room, and they are served like in a restaurant."

"We chose Monticello House because of personal recommendations and it was closer to my house. The food was very good. We had lunch there many times and the price was reasonable too. My mother enjoyed the food and they had good meal plans. There were snacks available all the time. The staff were amazing and were interactive even with the family members. Even pets were allowed inside. "

"I'm at J & J Residential Care Facility and they all take care of me. They are friendly and professional, but there's just a lack of staff right now, because of the pandemic. They lost a couple of employees and now we have three that we can count on, plus the administrator. The food is good, though. It sticks to your ribs. I have a private room and they help me keep it clean. Then we have church services/Bible studies, board games, and there's WIFI."

"Three phases: phase I located in an older home, phase II down the road in a large building, and phase III in a new building behind phase II. All three are well-maintained and nicely appointed. Furnishings are good quality. Quality of food ranges from good to above average depending on who is cooking. Residents are generally happy and well cared for. The home has daily activities that include extensive use of arts and crafts. The staff is generally pleasant and helpful. Residents have a wide age range, as young as 18 through 80's or 90's. There are frequent field trips and a yearly vacation. The home sponsors holiday celebrations for residents. Family members are encouraged to attend celebrations. Participation rate is very high. The administrator is very caring and has a hands-on approach. Religious services are available on and off the facility. A high percentage of residents have active family involvement. The facility owner places the comfort of residents above her desire to make a profit (to the point of spending thousands of her own $$$ to purchase multiple personalized Christmas gifts every year for each resident). Most residents have private rooms. Male and female areas are divided. All three facilities look and feel like homes. My son lived here previously with a mental health admission, so I have extensive experience with it. Where residential care for mental health issues is concerned, it would be extremely difficult to do better. This place is definitely among the best. "
