"They have terrible food, lots of staff are not caring, and they over medicate patients"

"We went to The Bungalows at Branson Meadows. We liked it very much, but my father-in-law's dementia was just too far gone for him to be a good candidate for their facility. The executive director, Candy, was very helpful. She met with us a couple of different times and offered up different options for my him once it was determined that his dementia was too far advanced for their facility. She followed up with me several times with phone calls, so she was very helpful. We were impressed with how updated it was and how very nice and friendly, it seemed like a nice place to live. I do know that they had a lovely sitting room with an aviary in it with some actual birds. And it was just very warm and inviting. The staff was warm and caring, and very interested in our situation."

"My dad has been living in Copper Rock Village for little over a year now. He loves it there. He has a little red scooter that he can run around in to visit people and just do whatever he wants. It's such a lovely place. They fix their meals. They have a barber. They have a doctor on site all the time. He gets his meds, and they have little rooms if your family wants to eat a special dinner. They have little community centers in the middle of each hall that has a fireplace and big screen TV, where they can sit out and visit. They have a church too. It is top of the line. The staff has always been ever so helpful to us. They just never acted aggravated or anything when we've called or had issues with his phone. They would go down and try to fix it, and that was COVID time when they weren't letting anyone in. They were awesome during the COVID thing. They were on top of it. The social worker was busy, but she always gets back to you if you can't talk to her right at that moment. Dad also loves the food. They have a cafeteria and a little place on each wing where you can order a burger or a snack. The atmosphere feels very good. The place is nice. The rooms are clean, and the residents are all very friendly. They have a lot of fun activities to do, and they even have their own therapy room."

"Century Pines is a great place and I would highly recommend them. I volunteer there and enjoy being with the residents and great staff. It is obvious that the staff cares about the welfare of each resident. And you will not find a better Director of Nursing anywhere. She has such a passion for nursing and the residents. I have also noticed that staff members place their own family members there. In my book, that says something. I was going to move my own mother there, but unfortunately she passed away before that occurred. You should check them out. "

"My mom is at Ozark Nursing and Care Center's skilled nursing. The place is quiet and she was able to have a private room for about the cost of a semi-private room. It's clean and the staff is doing their best to take care of everyone. The food is pretty good too. They're functioning shorthanded, as probably every nursing home is, but the staff are caring and doing the best they can. They don't have a lot of activities. They have bingo but my mom wasn't able to participate in that. They have common spaces but they're not great. It's a smaller facility, so they don't have all of the common areas and activities that a larger facility does but that also makes them quieter and I like that. Also, it's surrounded by grass and trees, and it's in a quiet area. The area that it's surrounded by is really good and all the residents can have a window facing out to see grass and trees. My mom's room is clean. It's an older facility, so it's not new and fancy but it has everything that she needs. One of the attractive features of it is that it's only about a mile from my house, so it's very close to me and I could visit mom every day."

"My mother had dementia. She went home to heaven Jan 20, 2015. She was well cared for and well loved by this amazing staff. She was content. Wayne is excellent administrator. Staff came from all over the complex to pray, say good bye, hug on family members during her final hours. Thank you and God bless you all. "

"We placed my mother at Riverview Manor (Ozark Riverview Manor). The experience has been very good. The place is clean and nice. The caring staff impresses me. They have everything you need, including food, laundry service, TV, and phone service."

"Rose House is a small privately-owned place. It's owned by a couple of older folks that worked in nursing care and assisted living. They built this place basically to give people an economical alternative to independent living. It's only has about 23 units. The rooms that we saw were very nice, although they don't have the amenities that other places we saw had. They have a small library, the place was very clean, and relatively new. Since there are only 23 units, I don't think they have like an activity director or some of that stuff, like planned activities. But it was nice, and the people there said that the food was very good. It was definitely pretty high on our list because of the cost."

"The Oaks Cottage is super clean. We liked it because it's really small. They only have 13 rooms. I think they only have nine single rooms and they have two double rooms which is one of the things we liked about it, especially for my dad. The other facilities were great, but they were too big and just too much. He would have been too overwhelmed. It's only four years old. The rooms are good sized. The bathrooms are just what he needs. He is participating in activities, which I was surprised by. They don't do a lot, which is another reason why we chose this place, because he would have been overwhelmed and probably would have hated all the other ones. They do some painting and crafts. They have like a bowling thing they do. They kind of get them moving around, like plastic bowling balls and bowling pins. They do like a baseball-type thing, with a foam pool noodle and a balloon. They do some kind of game with that. They do outdoor walks. The staff has all been real nice and very attentive. They've tried to find what my dad liked to do since he doesn't like to do a whole lot. They tried to figure out what he likes to do and kind of tweak things to his liking. It was one of the cheaper places. It wasn't as expensive and he didn't get all the extra stuff, but he also wouldn't have utilized all that extra stuff. I feel like we're paying for what we get, which is what he needs. The other places had a menu and they got to choose their food. I just wish they had a little more food variety at this place."

"We toured The Baptist Home - Ozark. They have nursing care on hand. They have activities in the morning and afternoon. They have church services every Sunday. There's a pastor on site nearly every day. The people are very friendly. They have great food and a very caring administration. The facility was very clean and very comfortable."

"My grandmother moved to NorthPark Village. It's very cozy. I forget how many residents they said they had, but it was a small number, so I felt good that I knew they were going to give her the attention she needed, and they weren't, like, overpopulated or anything. It felt very comfortable, and the decorations were nice. It had that homey vibe, so I knew my grandma would enjoy it. The staff seem very friendly and super nice. I feel like they have a pretty close connection with their residents. I overheard one of them talking about taking one of the residents out for their birthday. So I think that they care about the people there. They do bingo pretty regularly and they said something about Wheel of Fortune. I know that they said once a week, that not everybody has to go, but that they would allow people to go on a trip to town, Walmart was pretty popular, but they usually took a poll to see where everyone wanted to go. They also said something about the library coming and they can borrow books. I have had a couple of lunches there with my grandma, and the food is really good. They said that they've had that chef for several years. I feel like they said it was in the teens that he's been there with them, but it seemed like good food. I was very comfortable leaving my grandma there."

"This is a small place where your parents will receive personal care. Large nursing homes have too many people and your parent will just be another number. This place provides affordable quality care."

"Wedgewood Gardens facility was clean. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive to their clients. They had a dietician, an RN staff, and a pharmacist assistant on staff. Just a great place, a nice place. My dad did stay there for about five days for respite and he enjoyed that. It was great."

"Bradford Court is a wonderful place. We have no complaints. My parents are residing in a suite. They have a bedroom, a walk-in shower which is handicap accessible, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a microwave. The dining room setup is wonderful. The food selection is not as accommodating for my dad. They have activities like bingo, entertainment, flower arranging, and exercises. "
