Parkwood Health Care Facility

Parkwood is an extended stay nursing home for clients with a number of disabilities. I went to this place because my client wasnt specific about anything they were looking for other than the place not having too many nursing home dificiencies. To my surprise, I didnt find any reported deficiencies since the beginning of 2010. Thats over a year. Way to go!! :)

I love this place, my grandmother stayed here for a while after her fall and they were the absolute BEST! They were always there to answer questions and made sure that my grandmother was handled with the care she needed and deserved. They were always prompt to her needs. Getting her in and out of bed, helping with her exercise, and making sure she was actually doing well enough to be discharged. They always made sure she was comfortable and I didn't feel the least bit uncomfortable being there as a 21 year old male in a nursing home.They treated my grandmother like family the entire time she was there which was about 5 months and I can never thank them enough. You hear all these stories about nursing homes being negligent and abusing their patients. Not here. They are the most amazing nursing home in the south east(maybe even the entire US) and I'm glad to say they became part of my family before my grandmother left. If it weren't for them she would have been in a wheelchair. This place is AWESOME for the elderly. They do their jobs and they do it well with care,respect, and know how!
