A lot of promises were made to my family upon interview with Gentiva. Very few of them were met. Our nurse was the most UNcompassionate person, who seemed to have an attitude with my parent. She never took the time to get to know him. It was in - take temp and blood pressure - and out. I was supposed to have communication from the nurse about my father, which I NEVER received. They made me feel like I was a bother to them. The only time Gentiva Hospice showed any compassion was after my father died - and it was not from those who were on our "team." If there was a personal problem they had with me, my family, or my father, they should have assigned other people. Some of the people on my "team" should find themselves another line of work.
