We used Providence Soundhomecare & Hp for my dad. I felt that I had 24/7 access to call. I had nurses that when I was upset or didn't know what to do that would come to my house at midnight or 3 or 5 in the morning. It didn't matter. If I felt like I needed something and it wasn't really resolvable talking on the phone and they could sense my stress, they would come out. They explained things better to us, helped us understand what was going on and the medications that were being used and why. I felt tha they were compassionate and sensitive. They were doing the very best and I felt that they sincerely cared about the patient and the family. They answered my questions thoroughly, they never put me down, or rolled their eyes that I'm calling again. They took all of my concerns, doubts, and fears seriously and they responded kindly with explanations on what was going on to help us calm our fears. They handled us very gently, but they were always available and they spoke to us honestly what everything was for. They were there when I needed them.

The hospice nurses were great except their chart notes did not match the information they were told. For example, I said the patient fell flat on their face in a casino parking lot resulting in a broken neck. Their notes state the broken neck was caused by a car crash. The most disappointing was it took three days to deliver a bedside commode I desperately needed. By then the patient had fallen after using the bathroom. Now he's in the hospital and will have to die in a nursing home. Very disappointed.

My involvement with Providence Hospice is not a good one hopeful it is just my experience with them not others. I felt no comfort from them during this horrible time in my life except I felt judged and constantly told different things in a superior manner, there was no love or pity when I needed it most maybe they were more interested in their strike and my Mom's care came at a bad time for them. I would give them no star
