A few years ago we chose Hospice of the Rapidan to assist us with the care of my mother dying with pancreatic cancer. I had been a local oncology nurse for many years and had great respect for the care they provided their patients. When the time came to call hospice for mom there was no doubt who to call. They allowed her to die with dignity. Every person who visited showed compassion. They were excellent.

Wanted comfort but didn't get it. Would have preferred staff that had some passion for what they were doing. My experience with them was terrible.

I found the hospice workers cold and uncaring. I found that the nurse assigned could not answer my questions and all staff was not there like we needed it. I wish we had chosen another company as my relative and my family did not get the comfort that was needed. We used them in Warrenton, VA and I wish we hadn't, but we had never been through this before. I wish we used another hospice company.
