Horrible service. Answering service is horrible. Low on supplies . I had to get my mother's supplies from local supplier. Also, they had never followed up after passing of the loved one. DO NOT COMMIT TO THESE PEOPLE.

Last month my mother was assigned to stay in this facility following a lengthy bout with pneumonia this summer. We were told she needed a facility with twenty-four hour assistance and we were presented with a list of such facilities which were nearby. Because of pressure to vacate her hospital room, due to insurance limits, we were not able to visit any of the facilities presented. We selected VistaCare based on its proximity to our home and the recommendation of the social worker who was helping us. We were told it was a pleasant, well maintained facility with an good reputation and history. She was moved there in the middle of the week and my family and I visited the following Saturday. When we arrived the first thing we noticed was the odor. It smelled musty and unclean. There was no representative in the lobby, only a desk manned by a volunteer resident. We asked where we might find my mother to which we received a vague unresponsive answer. We set out down the largest hallway where we noticed the baseboards along the walls were all stripped off. It further appeared there was remodeling which was begun but stopped throughout the building. We walked through several hundred feet of hallway without encountering a single employee. Finally, we followed signs to a nurses station. Upon opening the door we found three employees chit chatting. We presented them with my mother's name and they directed us to another area of the building. After about 20 minutes of when we arrived we found her room. We sat in her room with her. After about 30 minutes, an employee came down the hallway and we were able to get an update on my mothers condition. The room was dim, the shades did not function and the smell we encountered on arrival pervaded the room. The facility seemed unclean, poorly maintained and understaffed. I wish we would have had the opportunity to visit other facilities before committing her to this facility
