Carol's Friend

My dear friend Carol was suffering from chronic pain and dementia and had no family or friends willing to help or provide companionship. It was a difficult situation. Kathleen carefully and expertly selected home heath aides for Carol and even personally tended to her occasional excentricities. There are no limits to Kathleen's dedication to her clients. She was there for my friend, and me, when needed--and sometimes when Carol "wanted." Living thousands of miles from New York City this was a blessing and helped take the worry out of my day. I knew my dear friend was being looked after and in the best possible hands. I remember when Kathleen climbed 12 flights of stairs (twice) to make sure Carol was safe during an electrical outage in her building. Kathleen and staff communicated with me often and alerted me when things were awry. When Carol recently needed emergency medical attention, Kathleen joined her aide at the hospital and stayed with Carol FOR HOURS until I could arrive. Kathleen helped me communicate with the medical team from a distance and was able to ensure that my dear friend's final wishes were respected. I don't call this an agency--I call Griswold Home Care BETTER THAN FAMILY.

Although we were not able to use Griswold Home Care for my husband's home health needs (due to our insurance conflicts) we were provided with amazing service. Kathleen still went out of her way to help us find alternative groups and additional information and I could not be more grateful for her help and kindness. In my experience, the home health industry does not have enough individuals that really care about their clients, and my experience with Kathleen proved me wrong. I only wish that it had worked out that we could have used Griswold Home Care because we would have been very happy to do so! Highly recommend.

Griswold Home Care seems nice, and they are very active. A lady comes here once a week for four hours. She does my shopping, and she goes to my pharmacy. She also does some minor cleaning, and that is enough for me. I am very satisfied.

A friend of mine knew of Griswold Home Care and was well recommended. I thought they were great. Kathleen was unbelievable! She came and met with my aunt and talked to her. She was so easy to work with. They had a really great staff.

The caregivers from Griswold were good. They were always on time and they perform all the tasks that I needed them to. Their scheduling was good. They were able to accommodate the schedule that I needed. I was very happy with their service.

The Griswold office was very responsive and helpful when we made our initial call to inquire about home care for my mom who is beginning to decline at a rapid pace. They quickly put us through to the owner, Kathleen, who was very professional, but also very empathetic. We arranged a family visit and Kathleen personally came out to my mom's house on the weekend, the only time the rest of the family was available. She was a great listener and quickly grasped the situation and my mom's needs. We still haven't pulled the trigger (my mother is very resistant) but when we do, I intend it to be with Griswold. They also had very reasonable hourly rates compared to other agencies we looked at.
