Comfort Keepers In-Home Care of Los Lunas has an employee with whom Mom and Dad are very comfortable with. They've been here all along, and they were able to expand her schedule to help them more. The caregiver comes in, she cooks, and she cleans. She pretty much does whatever Mom wants done around the house. They've cleaned out the backyard, and they've cleaned in the garage. It is mostly housework, laundry, and cooking, and occasionally Marcia will drive them to pick up groceries and things of that nature. She basically provides assistance with everyday living. We have been with Comfort Keepers now going on six months to a year. It's not easy to work with them. The only reason that they decided to negotiate with my mother is because she's a consistent payer. The people whom my parents would work with were kind, but the administrative part of it is not user friendly, and they're not really accommodating. They are always complaining that they can't get enough people to work for them, but I know what they charge, and I know what they pay their people. They can't get people to come in because they charge $24 an hour, and they only pay their people like $12 an hour.
