Beacon Hospice is just another company owned by a private equity firm (Amedysis that makes billion charging Medicare). Before you sign on the dotted line know what your loved one will be getting in terms of medical services. Beacon Hospice was brought in for my Mom after we were told the memory care facility where she was staying needed extra help when her health declined further. We were told they provided nurses, cna’s, a social worker, a Chaplin and end of life hospice care. That turned out to be the furthest from the truth. A nurse came once a week for 1/2 hour. They had no cna’s on staff. The social worker never called. As my my Mom was at the end stage of her life, a nurse came earlier in the day with instructions for morphine and then she was gone. I was the only one with my Mom at the time of her death and it was pure agony for her without proper medications. I have a short video of my Mom during this time. I felt so helpless and incredibly sad they had let her down this badly. These companies, after you sign on, start charging Medicare on a daily basis not per visit. Before hiring a hospice facility like this ask exactly what kind of care your loved one will be provided with. Don’t make the same mistakes our family did by trusting this company.

My mom passed away in september she had hospice care all of that summer before. The staff that helped us was incredible they were there for my mom , family and friends. They were support from religion ,medical,therpy and most of all awareness of the process of passing. I Peter Dowland would like to Thank Hospice for everything they did for my mom Mavis.
