They have been providing service for two years for my mother. They have been super responsive even when there have been issues which happen. I am in the healthcare profession and know that people are people but A First Name Basis is so quick to respond and handle any issue that may arise. The caregivers arrive on time and if there is a delay we are notified in advance. I really appreciate the professionalism and the quick response of the company with regard to my mother's well being. I am writing this review based on FIRST hand knowledge of A First Name Basis-In Home Care. I spent 2 hours with the director of sales and marketing going over every detail of what our expectations were for my mom, who has late stage dementia. I was very specific of her needs and expected someone with experience in this area to stay with her. The girl they sent was one and a half hours late and let me know she had only been working in the caregiver field 3 months. I called the 24 hour service to ask where she was and they weren’t sure. How can you not know when an employee doesn’t show up? This is the very worst part that literally makes me sick. She went to sleep in a chair and my husband and I found my mother face down in a flower bed in her front yard. I went in the house and had to wake the girl up. Needless to say I sent her home. She text me apologizing for her NEGLECT! I have pictures to prove all of this. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Side note-The CEO did call me to apologize.

I am a health provider for a client who received services from A First Name Basis. The company had repeated issues with providing professional care for this client. Management staff were not helpful in resolving issues created by the unprofessional care. Furthermore, they did not ensure the client had consistent care, often allowing her to go multiple days without services of any kind.

I have to say my experience was amazing with A First Name Basis. They are a very professionally run organization and always willing to help. We had an issue with one of our care providers and the problem was addressed immediately. They truly care about the well being of their clients.

We used A First Name Basis for two days. They interviewed very well and answered all of our questions regarding training. However, they sent us a lady with no experience in dementia or Alzheimer's. They didn't fulfill their promises.

This company is totally unreliable!!!! We have gone through 8 sitters, only one I would approve of and we never saw her again!. Dont waste your time! ALWAYS LATE OR AT THE HOUR I GET A CALL TO SAY THEY HAVEN'T FOUND ANYONE, OR 30 mins. late turns to be an hour or nothing. The sitters seems to be worst than the last one, they just want to sit and play on cell phones or watch tv. Sometimes trash n dishes are still there when I get back home. I rate them 0.
