"I’ve been pleased with Right at Home. Most of the caregivers had been fine; I had a little trouble with one, but it wasn’t serious. It was just for companionship, and I chose them because they were local. I would like them to improve on notification when someone can’t come; oftentimes, they don’t tell you until the last minute. "

"The caregivers have been very patient with my mother in law who does not see the need for help. It is very comforting to have an extra pair of hands to handle the everyday necessities and the extra pair of eyes to let us know of any issues as we live over two hours away and making sure mom is ok daily was stressful relying on her self evaluation. "We have Always Best Care of Pittsburgh. They help my mom with whatever she needs, like a run to the store, making food, laundry, and that sort of thing. I haven't had any trouble with the agency. We've had two to three different caregivers, they're always good and on time. They come three times a week for four hours a day."

"I have Home Matters PIttsburgh, PA aide coming in for my father. It's more custodial care. We essentially have a chaperone for home safety. They are also able to coordinate with a driver. The aide went with him to get his hair cut. They're also doing light housework, of sweeping, doing the dishes, or making the bed. We have one caregiver, who is the primary caregiver, and my dad enjoys his company. Their management is always in contact if the caregiver were to call off or be late, so they are prompt with communication."

"My mother suffered a heart attack last month and was in a rehab for two weeks. Eventually, it became quite clear that she could not return to her apartment. She agreed to move to an assisted living facility for which Always Best Care was of great help. They gave us 2-3 choices according to our preferences. In the end, we chose the one closest to our place."

"My father is using Senior Helpers. Eating is becoming an issue. His caregiver is an excellent cook, and she's very good at keeping track of him and working with him. I don't have any complaints about her at all. I enjoyed working with the supervisor. The caregiver pays attention to him, knows where he is at all the time, has a lot of common sense, and follows my directions. Communication is much better. They check in with me every couple of weeks. We have home visits from the president of the company on a regular basis, and he seems very caring and very educated about the disease process. I am satisfied."

"I had two options initially for a home care provider. I knew one of the people down at Gallagher and I've heard good things about them. They're also very close to where I live. They take care of the things I need. My mom will be 95 years old next Thursday. I think they treat her with respect. They're very caring. I think they care for her the way they would care for their own parents. They help her get dressed, bathe in the morning and prepare meals for her. I only had a couple of caregivers because they seemed to stick around. They've been there for a while and they're very attentive. We've had them there for 3 years at my house. My mother lived with my brother before that and we had Gallagher whenever we needed nursing care, like if she had a hospital stay. They're really good with that too. When she comes out of the hospital, they coordinate with the nurse's visits, the occupational therapy, physical therapy and any kind of follow up that I need with them. They even come and do blood work and so on. "
