"My mom is now staying with me. I hired someone from Guardian Angel Services to help care for her a couple of days a week. We interviewed many different agencies, and they were very open about what to expect from them. They came to the home first with one interview just to talk about their place and what they provide. Then when they had someone that they felt would be a good match for my mother, we had a meet and greet, you could say. The woman came over with the manager, and we just sat and all talked and got to know her, the person that would be caring for my mom, for them to both have a good fit. She's a lovely person, and the process has been very good to have everything come together and they've been very accommodating."

"My daughter was living in NH and was put on IV's beginning in February of this year. Her doctor recommended Critical Care Systems to oversee the administration of the medications at home. The visiting nurses had to teach her how to care for her PICC line and instructed her on her meds. She had visiting nurses at least once per week who were very thorough in their care and their instruction etc. Someone was also available by phone if necessary, 24 hrs per day. That is peace of mind at 2AM for sure! She always told me how patient, compassionate and empathetic her nurses were. I had the opportunity to go to NH and meet 2 of her nurses in March and I was very impressed! They were kind, compassionate and explained everything to me- they instructed me on what I needed to do since I was unfamiliar with it all. They never rushed us and took the time we needed to feel comfortable with everything. They even helped me by letting me take notes so I could refer to them if needed. She is no longer on IV's and has since moved from NH, but we will never the forget the compassion and kindness of the staff and nurses at Critical Care Systems! I hope they get to read this :-) and know we appreciated them. "

"We're using MAS Home Care for my mom because we needed one that took Medicaid. Currently they do light housework once a week and hygiene stuff for three to four hours. So far everything is routine or recurring. The billing has so far been pretty automatic since we're paying through Medicaid; initially it was private pay. The caregiver who's assisting my mom is great, she is very present, and pays attention to my mom. She's considering Mom's needs, but knowledgeable enough to be able to coax her and make her comfortable enough so that she can help her without making her feel like a helpless senior."

They helped out him getting something for snacks and helping him to drink, they read reviews and newspapers with him, and they helped him with his crafts. "The Visiting Angels in-home care is excellent. They provide non-medical services. They can tell you when the pills are due, but they don't administer them. They don't administer PT, but they could make sure that the patient does their physical therapy with information that's left behind from PT. They could incorporate those. I don't have anything bad to say about them because they're really good. They give me a comforting feeling. It's only been a week since we had them for my husband. They give the patient's spouse a respite by being there. They can prepare light meals and do light housekeeping. Basically, there is a companion for my husband. They help him with bathing, dressing, and things like that. They have capabilities to please and monitor. They also take note of the notes I left with the homemaker. I also get ideas, helpful hints, and resources from them as well."

"I interviewed this provided to see how exactly they treated there patients and how involved they were with the. They seemed very friendly and they had people available to answer the phones at all times no matter what the hours were. they carried a phone in which they called a "baby". They also had no problem moving shifts around to help out other employees. they were very friendly and they knew much about the patients they were working with. if you needed them to stay later or come earlier they usually had no problem doing it. i believe these people are great and will continue to tell people about the care they provide and the friendlyness as well "

"SYNERGY HomeCare Nashua has been really good so far. They're very helpful and they're there for everything that we need. They're very good with the scheduling and everything as well. The caregiver mostly helps with a little bit of housework, like hanging around, cooking, and stuff like that. The caregiver is very happy, and very open to doing anything. When we ask her to do anything she's right on top of it. She's really great and very energetic. They're doing great."

They watch a show with my mom so my dad can rest. My dad is 92, and my mother is 90, so they really need quiet most of the day, and we're able to get that with Cornerstone. They are providing some paid people that we're paying per hour, and it's working out well. The girl we have coming is very bubbly and very giving. She said she thinks that this is her calling to help older people. She wasn't able to come Wednesdays and Fridays, but Cornerstone has been really good about changing the schedule around, and now, we're going to have her from Monday through Friday. We also have Easterseals, and they're providing a girl that helps with housekeeping. So now, we're pretty much covered through the day. That's what we were looking for without having to take the step of going into the nursing home. We're very pleased."
