My family contracted the services of Home Instead for our 97-year old mother, who was living independently until her cognitive abilities declined. We only had their services for approximately 3 weeks before an opening became available at a nursing home, but in that short time the caregivers were nothing short of excellent. They were punctual, compassionate, devoted to the task and were truly concerned with our mother’s wellbeing. I would recommend Home Instead to anyone who finds themselves in the same predicament we were in…..a dependent family member who is need of help and who wants to remain living independently.

First: why not five stars? Home Instead (HI) was not a perfect fit with our needs. Full disclosure: No home care operation could meet our checkerboard need for assistance and stay in business!! (This is a variant on "Only God is perfect") HI is very supportive of their customers with excellent documentation and open communication. Their Care Pros are well trained and engaging individuals. We signed up for 20 +/- hours a week and my spouse, who suffers from Parkinson's, really appreciated the assistance with house work, cooing, and companionship while I was tending to the operation of the farm. With time, it became evident that assistance was most needed in the early morning and late evening getting into bed. Economic factors precluded full day engagement of HI so we are currently testing other options. In summary, HI was far better than any of the other agencies that we tried and I would highly recommend them to any family seeking support for a compromised family member

I had to find someone that would walk with my mother 4 hours a day, 3 times a week, year round. Mom loved to walk. You were perfect for her. She loved it. As her Alzheimer's advanced, you continued to take care of my mother the way she should be taking care of, with dignity. You were with her 24/7. Treating her the way any family member should be. I could not be there every day. But when I was, I was so happy to see how happy mom was! I am so grateful I chose Home Instead, not a nursing home, as she started to go down hill. Her last few weeks were filled with love and support, just has she had been from the very beginning with Home Instead years before. I will never forget you! I tell everyone about you. Thank you for all you did! The world needs more people like you.

The agency is very good in providing information to the family. They are there to answer questions. You can set up online a family chat where you can see comments from the caregiver after every visit as to how the day went. Staff has been on time and very reliable. She is a good companion for my mom. I have interacted with her many times and she is very pleasant and helpful. The only thing that took us by surprise was the increase in hours needed to keep the service and the monetary increase. Luckily my mom was able to handle the expense.

Home Instead provides daily care (3 hours) for my relative. We live in another state and we heavily depend on the caregivers and the support the home office provides. It has been a great pleasure and relief to have Home Instead taking care of my relative. All have been responsive to the needs of my relative and to ours being so far away.

At this stage, they are wonderful, and I am really pleased with the care I am getting from Home Instead. It is only for 4 hours per week, but it is adequate, and I really enjoy the caregivers that I get. I am very satisfied. The caregivers are very good. I would recommend.

Home Instead sent a caregiver for my dad primarily to assist him with bathing and doing some laundry and light housekeeping. Pierre was an extremely efficient, kind and respectful person who my parents became very fond of. Our case manager, Mike Always stayed on top of my parents’ needs.

My mom has been using the service for about a month after an illness. The care giver is wonderful. She comes every day for 1.5 hours. Engages her in conversation, helps prepare lunch, does light housekeeping and is bringing the twinkle back in her eyes. She has also started playing the piano again! The medication hand over hand technique is a life saver for our family. The office is great to work with and between all, the communication is wonderful.

Currently have team of three caregivers who are scheduled for two visits daily =1 1/2 hour in AM and 1 hr in evening. Each one is always punctual, caring and attentive. They are scheduled one at a time at each of the AM or the evening visit. They assist with showers, dressing, manicuring both fingernails and toenails. They prepare morning meals, make jellies and puddings. They make the bed each day and change the linen as needed plus do light housekeeping. Observe medication.

We are currently getting service from Home Instead Senior Care for my dad for 2 months now. They just have one lady who come over the house 3 times a week, for 2 hours each day. My dad doesn't need a lot of assistance, but the lady was very caring. I think she's perfect for my dad. She basically made him lunch and accompany him for more couple of hours. My dad like her so much! She was very great! Though we have a couple of issues about the bills, but as soon as we call them, they fix it. I'm very happy and satisfied about their service. They are very professional!
