Safe Haven Hospice
We are a dedicated Faith based hospice. Hospice is not a reason to give up hope, but an opportunity to reclaim the spirit of life, to reminiscence, to laugh, to reunite, to love. Hospice is probably one of the most difficult decisions you will have to make for yourself or your loved one. It doesn't mean that you are giving up, hospice means being physically comfortable, at peace, surrounded by your loved ones doing the things that bring the most joy and fulfillment.


Care that extends grace and honors life

  • We are motivated to extend dignity and grace at every opportunity by the belief every person is made in the image of God.
  • Our mission is to make the end of life comfortable and meaningful.
  • With Medical Director support, we design Individual Care Plans for each patient.


Care beyond the expected

  • We perform a free medical evaluation to see if hospice is appropriate.
  • We admit patients within 3 hours of receiving physician’s orders and patient/ family approval.
  • We are available 24 hours a day to answer all of your questions. Our staff will respond to phone calls within 15 minutes.
  • We strive to be present during the transition from this life to the next.

  • An admission process that minimizes stress.
  • Meaningful and personalized chaplain care.
  • Support for patient’s loved ones.
  • Help in managing all end-of-life-issues.
  • Customized levels of care.

Services provided include:

  • Nursing services - routinely available and/or on call on a 24 hour basis, 7 days a week
  • Medical social services
  • Physician services including attending physician
  • Counseling services including spiritual, bereavement and dietary
  • Hospice aide and homemaker services
  • Volunteer services
  • Physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy may be provided in certain circumstances

Staff Screening:

  • We interview every team member in person.
  • We check references.
  • We require health certificates and/or ensure that caregivers are immunized for tuberculosis and other communicable illnesses.
  • We check driving records.
  • We check credit history.
  • We confirm legal U.S. residency.
  • We require fingerprint-based background check.
  • We require drug screenings.
  • We check sexual offender databases.
