At Senior Helpers, we are here to help any way we can, no matter how big or small the task. We are licensed, bonded, and insured, and have screened and continuously trained caregivers who are immediately available to serve your family's needs in a caring and trusting environment in your home. We specialize in companion care and personal care, and have the ability to provide support with transportation, errands, and other activities of daily living. We also use a proprietary assessment process called Life Profile that allows us to determine the type of collaborative care our clients can benefit from. Our goal is to provide the right amount of care, not too much or too little. This tool allows us to do just that. We specialize in Dementia and Alzheimer's care through another proprietary program called Senior Gems, a collaboration between Senior Helpers and renowned cognitive disease expert Teepa Snow. Our Quality of Life Planner is a tool we use to encourage engagement between our clients and caregivers. Engagement and interaction are extremely important, as they give our seniors a sense of purpose that can sometimes be missing. Our owners, Sakina and Syed, have faced the struggles of caring for a parent with dementia and the challenges of looking after a parent on hospice battling cancer. That is why, after successful careers in IT, they decided to provide care to seniors in their community. They understand the challenges families face and recognize the necessity of loving, high-quality caregiving. Their personal experiences inspire the compassionate, personalized approach that defines Senior Helpers of Algonquin. We have no minimums when it comes to hours or number of shifts per week, making our care flexible and tailored to your family's schedule. We also assist with financial support, helping families navigate long-term care insurance and VA benefits to ensure access to the care they need.
