"We used in-home hospice service from Comfort & Peace Hospice for my brother before he passed. I believe they offer both in-home and facility-based care but my brother didn't want to leave his apartment. They offered nursing assessment, case management, and in-home aides. They delivered medications and durable medical equipment for him. We had an issue with one of the equipment but they immediately came out and replaced the unit that same day. They were very responsive to phone calls and they were very courteous, considerate, and compassionate. There was no billing because my brother was a veteran, so there was no charge for us, at all. They were very responsive. They brought medications out quickly. They brought a wheelchair and oxygen machines with both the oxygen tank and oxygen generating device. At first, he was assessed by a nurse, and then I would get phone calls from a case manager and the nurse aides came out too and saw him every day. They also brought additional medications for him. We only used their services 3 or 4 days before he passed so it wasn't very long but I would recommend them. They were very good. "

"I am very disappointed in the services that my mother received from Odyssey Hospice during her dying process. The staff at Odyssey new that she probably only had a week to live yet no one came by to see her that week as they indicated that they would we had one visit from the nurse but that was about it. I left a message for the nurse two days before she died so she could check her but she did not even show up until after she had passed away. We relied completely on the care of the nursing home and thankfully they did such a great job. "

When I needed nurse help, they sent them and they had routine visits come all the time to check on her. Anything I needed they provided it, like equipment, medication, and everything. So, I was quite satisfied with the services I got from them. I was billed straight through Medicare. The nurses were all great. It has 24/7 phone service, so you could call any time of day or night if you needed help."

"We are a client of Kaiser Permanente San Diego Mission Road. My dad is doing fine with it and it's working for us. There are doctors and nurses coming into the house. They do bathing, and all the medicine I need, everything that I need for the room, and all his stuff for cleaning up and everything. So far, it's been very good. They've been here, and they've been checking. They call and they up with all the stuff he needs. They're very good and attentive, and they answered my questions and my needs."

When she took a turn for the worse one of the doctor's came to assess her very late at night. Even the person that answers the main line is polite, cheerful, and relays information quickly. We are so incredibly thankful to Silverado Hospice for the great care they took with my grandmother and our entire family. I would recommend Silverado time and time again!"
