My mother was told she had 2 weeks to live and was placed on hospice care. she stated she just wanted to go home,after 3 misunderstandings and two days later in hospital, we finally come home. a 2 hour trip which they told us to call when we got home so a nurse could come out and review everything and see what was needed. I call and first question was do i have her meds???? I responded no she is under hospice they said you were responable for getting her meds called into pharmacy. After I made countless calls to doctorseven the on staff nurses at the hospital where we left, we finally had to load my dying mother back in car call family doc at home to meet us at office and he looked at her in the car and got her the meds she needed!!!! I have made 16 calls to the office in statesboro about differnet things and its only been a week. but a precious one that i should have been spending every moment with my mom. Nurse tells me mom has to wait for hoursto get meds she needs, forgets to call in meds, and has not checked her for bed sores, to see if cath is in right or anything, I am sorely upset with them. Even videoed last appointment with nurse to make sure I heard her right as far as pain meds went. If I could leave a - 5 stars I would.
