My husband is using Halifax Health Hospice. A doctor comes once or twice every two months, and then a CNA. They provide the care that he needs. They also send a nurse weekly. They check his medicine and check if he has any other symptoms or issues. So, they give him medication and stuff like that. They come and check on him. I had experience with another health hospice, and they quickly want to get you out of their care because if they think that he doesn't need it, they'll quickly get you out. Fortunately, my husband was out of assisted living, and the owner of the assisted living was the one who suggested Halifax. I'm new to all this, and ever since then, my husband has been in Halifax hospice. They're really good. They're like my support. They help me out a lot and give me advice. A social worker is involved. If I have any questions, I can always call the nurse or social worker. Also, they have a priest who comes once or twice a month to check on my husband and pray for him. I'm really happy with them. I would be lost without them. You can call them any time. They have an emergency line and 24/7 nurses who can stop by the house.

My mother is using Halifax Health - Hospice. They're making sure she gets proper medication and that she's not overloaded with stuff that she doesn't need. They come and check her heart and her vital signs. Also, a social worker will provide a place to place her when it comes to that. They're very helpful. They have an emergency light, and if anything happens they respond pretty quick. They're pretty good, pretty understanding, and pretty knowledgeable of what they're talking about.

We are using Halifax Health - Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, and so far they are doing a wonderful job.

It isn't my favorite place to go to, but for that type of place, Halifax Hospice looked fine. They were very good. They were very caring and efficient people for my husband. The sanitation was nice as well.

The service that Hospice of Volusia Flagler did for my mom was wonderful. They did everything they could to keep her comfortable. When I brought her home because medicare wouldn't pay for her stay there, I had assistance. The nurse came and helped me a couple times a week and the CNA came bathing her. I couldn't say enough good things about hospice. Unfortunately, my mom passed away and instead of flowers, we asked that any donations be given to hospice. I would do whatever I can for them to continue and keep people comfortable in their dying days because they were so compassionate.
