VITAS Healthcare - Broward County was so amazing. They work with patients that are on Medicaid or Medicare, which is really great. They do everything. They schedule the doctors and the nurses to come. They provide all the incontinence supplies. Everything that you don't have that is very expensive and would come out of pocket is covered. They just follow the schedule. They have physical therapy come multiple times a week (obviously after assessment). Anything after the assessment for the patient, they organize. They take care of the medication. It really made the situation so much easier, and they were so kind. It was just so much help because it was really hard for me to try to organize all that and work with different nurses and doctors' offices. It was just a one-stop shop with VITAS Healthcare - Broward County until her last day. When they found out that she was not responsive, they even sent something called critical care, which sends a nurse 24 hours. They change shifts to stay bedside up until the time of death. They completely take care of everything after that. I just couldn't rave about them enough, even so much so that they sent a card of condolences and called. They were just completely amazing. Honestly, I was really sad that I didn't find them earlier because they would have made my life way easier in dealing with this transition with an elderly family member. There is nothing that I would change besides just finding them earlier because they were just a big help. They were very flexible.
