I used the services of Horizon Valley Home Health Care. This one was out of Temecula. When I was sick with blood clots and had a bad wound on my leg, my blood pressure was sky high, so I had to have them come 3 times a week and change my bandage and do my blood pressure. I got better with them. They were wonderful. The nurse that they sent me took better care of me than my primary care physician. She did more for me in the short time she was here and I just loved her. The caregivers they sent me were both excellent. I was amazed because I was in a lot of pain and they went out of their way to give me an injection for the pain. It was horrible pain. My primary care doctor didn't even do that so they were wonderful. What I asked for, I got. The agency got me a locker, and a shower chair, and brought my meds for the wound. I had leg cuts because I kept getting blood clots. They explained to me where the wounds came from, and it was the blood clot in my leg. They caused a wound on the top of my foot and one on my calf that wouldn't heal. They tried one medication after the other until they got it figured out and I was just really pleased with the outcome. They were always here when they said they were going to be here. They were always on time. They had my bandages, I didn't even have to supply anything. After my surgery, when they took that artery out, I was cut from my groin down to my heel and it was really dramatic. They took great care of me and I was really pleased.

Horrible service, lack of follow through and nurses who do not show up for confirmed appointments. I would steer clear. Their nurse did not show up for a confirmed home health care appointment and did not call to re-schedule a missed appointment for a mandatory monthly catheter change for my step father sending him to the ER as an infection had developed by the time they finally showed up!

Horizon Valley is two thumbs up! We like them. They're wonderful people. They put up with my wife, which is more than I can do. The communication is excellent. They always call or check and make sure that everything is good. A couple of times I followed up and they were patient and smiling through it all. There are two caregivers. They do OT, PT, and wound care. They're all excellent. We love them all. Even the social worker was wonderful. They're patient and caring. We have enjoyed it whenever they come over. They're really friendly and nice. We don't mind if they chit chat and get the job done. It is kind of my wife's preference to tell stories and they sit there patiently listening and then they go about their work; it is really wonderful.
