The caregivers were able to come over right away, and they helped me when I was in a pinch. The owner of BrightStar Care came over on a Sunday to assess the situation to see which nurse to bring over for my dad. When she came I thought I had the flu, and she asked me what I needed and she actually went to the store and got me medicine and things to settle my stomach. It turned out that the sickness almost killed me and it was not the flu, and I don't think she knows that, but I thought it was very kind of her to do that for me.

They don't train their caregivers. No one is trained on the simple services we require. They send a new person out and don't come with them to tell them where everything is. The main person came out and I went over everything with that person, but the next caregiver came out and the first one never trained anyone else. It would be nice if, after I explained the rules to one person, they would turn around and train the next person. They haven't made much difference for us. They need better at training and not send someone out with no clue what to do.

The CNA care from BrightStar Care is 120% better than care I received in a nursing home.

I am not likely to recommend BrightStar Care because they did not seem to have a caregiver who matched well with my loved one. BrightStar Care made life easier because they were able to get someone to help me with my loved one on short notice.
