What Home Health Services are Covered?

Both Medicare and Medicaid covers medically necessary services in home health care. These services may include rehabilitation after surgery or for a chronic illness or physical, speech and occupational therapy. Home health also covers medication administration, catheter changes and management of your doctor’s care plan. Activities of daily living aren’t covered directly but may be covered through the Medicaid Aged and Disabled Waiver. These services include bathing, grooming, meal prep and transportation.
