Wisconsin Veterans Home - Union Grove was warm and welcoming. It was clean, the grounds were beautiful, and the residents all seemed glad to be there. There were families visiting with pets, and we were looking at the memory care area, and it was really nice. The staff was professional and friendly too. They stopped and talked to other residents, asking how they were doing that day. They weren't just saying, "Hi, how are you doing today?" Instead, it was like, "How was your daughter's birthday party? How was your visit? Is your daughter coming this afternoon?" So, they seemed to really know about their residents. The facility is large with all the artwork and the furnishings. It's just light and bright. All the staff were extremely helpful. Everyone from the groundskeeper to the security at the entrance were helpful and knowledgeable. They were topnotch. The facility was also beautiful and secure. They were very open about having a waiting list too, and they were helpful in filling out the application. It was amazing.
