Dyer Nursing Home had a very pleasant environment and a very kind staff. However, they also appeared to be understaffed, so each staff member was very busy and this sometimes caused a long wait time for them to answer calls. Despite this, the staff knew the residents very well, and formed personal connections with them. They also had many events scheduled every week, so that the residents could have things to look forward to and enjoy. The interior could have been more cheerfully decorated instead of plain white walls; however, the exterior was very nice looking with flowers by the door. Each room had a window looking outside, and there were bird feeders by the windows looking into the yard. (I thought that was an especially nice touch.) While it had its shortcomings, I thought that Dyer Nursing Home was a good place for my grandmother.
