We visited HarborChase of Cordova. They had great dining services, outdoor space, and patios. The rooms are small but very updated and clean. Karie was very sweet and informative. She showed us around. We met a couple living there who had a two-bedroom unit and the room was lovely.

HarborChase of Cordova was the best place that you would want your loved one to be in. They had phenomenal art hanging on the walls. The place was nice and clean. As soon as I entered, it didn't even feel like an assisted living place. They had the place set up just like you're on your own. The residents could go anywhere in the building. They even had a bar for them to sit at just like they are at a restaurant. They had all types of activities. They had a salon where the females could go get their hair done. They also had a nail technician there, so they could get their nails done. The staff that I met when I toured the place was very nice. Not only did they make their residents feel comfortable, but they made the family feel comfortable as well. When you go there and they're eating, the family that comes to visit is also welcome to eat. They have a professional chef that cooks for them and they have waiters. They'll come to the table, get your order, and serve your food.

HarborChase of Cordova has an Olympic-style pool where you can walk down into the pool instead of going down the ladder. They had some water damage back a year or so ago, so they're in the midst of redoing it. So it didn't impress me when I walked into the foyer because that part had been taken out and it hadn't been replaced yet. But they were nice and clean. The staff took me upstairs. I had my dog with me, and he didn't like being on the second floor and seeing the bottom. Like looking over the rails, he doesn't like that. I like their apartments though because their kitchen aisle has a room for you to put plates and serve people from there. I didn't have anything negative to say about them. The staff was nice and kind. For amenities, they give you $400 a month to use for meals that you want to eat. They are different in terms of food. Even though they offer a full kitchen, for the money they want, I just think they need to offer something else. They had a lot of activities. They got a calendar with a lot of stuff they offer the residents. Every day, they have different things throughout the week like entertainment and bingo.

We chose HC of Cordova because they have a sister facility in many cities in the event she had to move. Communication is unlike any other location we looked at. The food is excellent, the people (residents and care givers) are above par and the building itself is beautiful! We had a one bedroom in AL and it more than met our needs. Tons of activities and games to play 7 days a week. I highly recommend HC Cordova for anyone considering AL, IL, or memory care.

We went to HarborChase of Cordova. It was very nice. My sister liked it really well as far as walking in and looking at it. It was very impressive. But their buildings were scattered out so that she just couldn't decide. Like if she were in this unit, how would she get to the big building to where the food is and where the entertainments are and things like that. She liked that place, but there were too many questions about how would she get there if this happened. Things they offer are really nice and it fits what my sister likes. When you first walk in, it's very nice-looking and very spacious. We like the happy hour possibilities. It just looked very nice, open, refreshing, and inviting. The negative is that the area of the city it's in, your car could be stolen just as quick as you get out of it, and I did not like that. We would not be visiting my sister out there for fear for our lives also. Memphis is not the best suited to be living in right now and Cordova is one I'm familiar with and I would not want to go there and visit her, and she knows it. She said, "I don't like this part of the city." However, the staff member who toured us around was nice.

HarborChase of Cordova was brand new, so it was beautiful and very well laid out. The apartments are extremely convenient. The staff was phenomenal and helpful. We had lunch, and the food was excellent. They had a bar area for the residents where you could sit and watch ball games. They had a huge dining room. It was bright, well lit, and had a lot of windows, so you got lots of sunshine light coming in. They had an atrium that had skylights. The one thing that set them apart was the outlet and plugs in the apartments. Instead of them being near the floor, they were in the middle of the wall for easy reach for elderly people.

So far, HarborChase of Cordova has been excellent. It's very clean and very nice. They're very thorough. My mom is in the memory care section and they do lots of activities with them every day. That section is more equipped. They have more staff there so that they can keep an eye on all of their residents. Everyone of the staff that we've met is extremely nice and very helpful. She loves the food so that's wonderful too. They play games with them. They've done bingo and they do sing-alongs. On February 1st, they celebrated Chinese New Year and they had snacks and those fun little Chinese horoscopes.
