"After several strokes and a broken hip my father required more care than we could give him at home. The Chester County Nursing Home staff gave him excellent care. From the first day they were great answering all our questions and they showed compassion and kindness to my father and to us.My Father was bedridden and paralyzed on the right side. He also lost his speech after the major stroke and communicating was extremely difficult. His caregiver at the nursing home would pick him up in her arms and carry him.Even without speech he would let us know if something was not right with a caregiver at the hospital or the nursing home. One of the reasons I gave a 5 star rating was because he always gave a big smile when a nurse or aide came into his room. They took very good care of him and my family did not have any complaints. They were excellent to him and from what we saw, the same care was given to all the patients. "

"Henderson Villas is very nice. My friend really likes it. The staff has been very helpful. The food is nice. She says that they don't serve a whole lot of food, but she can ask for seconds. The dining area is not huge; it's got about six tables that sit four people at each. Each time I've gone there's been something going on. Sometimes the people just sit out in the den and watch television or sit and talk. I didn't actually see anything. In the living room they have a piano, books, and crossword puzzles. They have a big screen TV with nice couches. The rates are very reasonable. She has a private room, a big walk-in closet, and a nice bathroom with a shower/tub area. It also has a window to see out and it's nice."

"Of all the places that we went to in Jackson, Cades Center Assisted Living was the nicest one for the price. The price was good. The location was clean. The assistance that they had for the tenants was great. One of the things that made them great, but this is almost a year ago, you could do a 30-day trial. If you aren't OK after the 30 days, you can leave. We were there around lunchtime and people were having lunch. The lady who we talked to was very professional and gave us a tour. The place was clean, and there was no odor. She told us that they had somebody coming in once a week and they did some group activities. They had a game room. They had a salon there where they could wash the people's hair. They also have a 24-hour nurse."

"Patients are not cared for the bathrooms are shared they smell horrible. There is sarcasim in the halls and patients are allowed to be disrespectful, they are not corrected. Not enough stimulation.rooms are shared for the most part and the patients are complaining of being cold. There sees to be no heat in the building."

"I would highly endorse Oakhaven. It is a really wonderful place. It is out in the country but still very up-to-date. It offers a lot of privacy. They have many good activities for their residents. The accommodations are just excellent. They are very roomy and clean. You can even have your own furniture in them. As far as I know, the staff members are very competent, but I didn't really deal with them enough. However, my cousin is an RN and her father-in-law lives in Oakhaven and they're very happy with the staff. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. "

"Pro-Rehab of Forest Cove is just a regular nursing home. They do not have enough staff, and they do not like to interact with the patients. The food is OK. The dining room setup is very nice. They do not have enough activities. "

"My mother was at AHC West Tennessee Transitional Care for about a month and a half. It was a very good facility, and she had very good care when she was there. The staff members were very good. The rooms were very nice, very spacious and clean. It was an updated facility. Nothing looked run down or anything like that there. Food was average. Cleanliness was very good from what I could see. The layout was good. It's very well laid out. They had a lot of activities, too."

"My brother is in Cades Center Assisted Living. It's very nice and very clean. They seem to care about the residents. He shares a room with someone and it's been kept pretty good. They have games and they play bingo. They said they don't do anything like go out. They said they used to, but they don't do any outside activities. They have plenty of seating areas, but I've not seen any recreation areas at all. The dining area is nice. They have plenty of tables and they sit four people. They bring the food to the table for them and it's right off from the kitchen area, and it's very clean. My brother said the food is very good. They do the laundry. The staff seems to be very attentive and helpful. I had two meals with him and the food was good."

"Wesley Jackson Highlands is two stories high. It has two different wings and a main hall in the middle. They have an activity room. I have relatives who live here, so they know me, and I know them. They have a walk area. It’s nice and quiet. The apartment has a living area, a bedroom, and a bath. I would recommend this facility to other people. I like the fact that this facility is secluded, because I don’t like crowds. They have good security at this facility. "

"My experience with Maplewood has for the most part been satisfactory, with the exceptions being with the afternoon/evening shift and the weekend staff. The day shift people, have a different, more personal relationship with the residents, which results in a better level of care for them. The evening and weekend staff have been known to use "punishment" if a resident says or does something that the staff does not like. The "punishment" that I am personally familiar with is not putting my mother to bed because she insisted on her diaper being changed after she had a bowel movement. Needless to say when my mom called me, I calmed her down, and when I got off the phone I immediately called Maplewood and insisted that my mom get put to bed immediately as it was four hours past her normal bedtime. This has happened three times but since the third time; I have went to the administration and spoke to them about these incidences and I am confident this will not be an issue again. I visited numerous other care facilities before deciding on this one because of the cleanliness and seemingly caring attitude that most of the employees have. "

"My mom’s room is always kept nice and neat. The food service is very good, with homestyle meals served daily—especially at lunch. Breakfast is my mom’s favorite meal, and the cook always fixes it just the way she likes it. The staff is professional, polite, and respectful. Activities are scheduled regularly, and my mom appreciates having the choice to participate when she wants or simply relax when she prefers. Her favorite place is the back patio, where she spends most of her time planting and tending to her flowers. It brings her so much joy, and I love knowing she has a space she truly enjoys. We are very pleased with the care she receives here."

"I would like to share my experience with McNairy County Nursing Home. The nursing staff is very caring and understanding with the clients needs. They always send a staff member with the patient to all doctor appointments. This is a saftey procedure for the patient as well as the facility. They are also very good about sending a sack lunch with the patient if they think there is a chance they will not be back in time for afternoon lunch. Mom seemed to really enjoy her time she spent there, she said it was like home. I was very glad we made the decision to place her here for her final resting place. "

"No place is home but home. But sometimes you have to have to make hard call for a parent because home can no longer provide the care your parent requires. Alexandria Place made that call much easier for me. The staff provides not only good care, but relational opportunities and activities that allow dad to have what he could not at his home. His knees won't let him dance anymore, but the staff at least makes him feel like he can. "
