Horrible place. Dirty floors. Inadequate and uncaring staff. I am a retired social worker. I have never seen such a facility as this where residents are ignored. Talking to the director is futile. The tv is difficult to navigate in and of itself. Couple that with dementia and it is too difficult for the patients. The WiFi frequently goes out. Even the floor staff admit that happens regularly. The food is cold and often utensils are not provided.

Mom is at Heritage Home of Florence for about three months now. This facility came highly recommended by friends of mine. I've been very happy with them. The staff were very good and they are taking good care of my mom. Mom is in a double room wherein she has a roommate. They are doing physical therapy and occupational therapy for her. They also have bingo and arts and crafts. Their food is probably the one thing that my mom complains about the most and we are still working on the right. The food is not bad but it's not always what she would like to be eating. I like the friendliness of the staff. I call them on the phone a lot to check and see how she is doing and then make sure she is up and dressed and they are always friendly on the phone and willing to go down and check on her if she is not answering her phone.
