"My sister was there for short term rehab. The staff were very caring, the building is old but it was very clean! The food was delicious. We will definitely use them again if we need them. The rooms are not that big but they were fine. They tried to keep the short term rehab people together. She was out of her room and in therapy most of the day."

"I found Scotia Village for my parents, but they hadn't actually moved in yet. We're still in the application process. All the people that we met were very friendly and very knowledgeable. The place was very clean and had no odors. We had dinner with the couple that lived there and they loved it there. Their description of it was "It's like going on a vacation and never having to leave". The apartment that we were hoping on getting was an extended 1-bedroom. It was very good in size. My father was happy with that. My mother would probably have to go to the nursing home side. My father and brother spent the night there and had breakfast in the morning. Their dining facility and the meals were both nice. They had lots of social activities, in-house activities and they had field trips. They had a swimming pool, a game room and exercise room. "

"My friend moved into Veteran Village, and it's very good. The place is clean. The staff is good. The food is good. They are doing PT. My friend is happy there. The bathroom is almost the size of a room. The room is spacious. It has end tables, a closet, a large walk-in shower, and a bathroom with storage. The staff members were very nice and helpful."

"Scottish Pines Rehabilitation and Nursing Center was wonderful. I love them. I enjoyed them. They were good to my parents. They were nice people. They called me if there was an emergency. They kept me informed. They were in two separate rooms; they were just right across the room from each other. There was a salon that my mom wanted to get her hair done. I still talk to them today to check on them and tell them they are the best. We even had Thanksgiving dinner there, and I enjoyed them. It's absolutely beautiful. I don't have anything bad to say about them. My parents just went to rehab twice a day, but nothing else other than that."

"The Carolinian was somewhat my favorite, but corporate would not allow a pureed food diet. I like their activities and the food they had and they were a little bit cheaper than the rest. They had a good community, I think, 30 or 40 residents. Some places only had 20, so there's a good opportunity to make more friends. In a small environment, you don't have so many choices. If you don't fit in, you're kind of by yourself. I like having a few more people there. The place was very energetic. The staff was participating in a luau day the day I was there. It seemed like they'd like to have a lot of fun and interact with the residents. Their menu was extremely good. It just seemed like a good place where you could fit in and call home. The rooms were nice. Each one had a little balcony overlooking the trees and had a nice-looking view. I enjoyed the rooms. My mother likes to watch birds and I just felt like it would be a good opportunity to hang a birdfeeder outside of her window and it would be a constant flow of birds come in there. There's a huge live oak with tons of lambs. It's a 50-year-old structure, so it doesn't look as good as the others, but it's got a better view out the windows."

"Southland Health Care Center was a very nice facility. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were large. I liked its homey atmosphere. "

I have had the pleasure to work with Tyra J. previously and her contributions to the community is outstanding. "Mom is at Heritage Home of Florence for about three months now. This facility came highly recommended by friends of mine. I've been very happy with them. The staff were very good and they are taking good care of my mom. Mom is in a double room wherein she has a roommate. They are doing physical therapy and occupational therapy for her. They also have bingo and arts and crafts. Their food is probably the one thing that my mom complains about the most and we are still working on the right. The food is not bad but it's not always what she would like to be eating. I like the friendliness of the staff. I call them on the phone a lot to check and see how she is doing and then make sure she is up and dressed and they are always friendly on the phone and willing to go down and check on her if she is not answering her phone. "

"We visited The Florence Presbyterian Community but it was expensive. It's very nice, everything was beautiful. The facilities are beautiful and the activities were good, the cost was just too high. The rooms in the memory care were nice, they were gorgeous inside, and the landscaping was beautiful. They had a dining area where you could choose what you wanted. Their staff appeared to be OK."

"It would be a great facility. It's very convenient. The staff was friendly, informative, very courteous, and professional. I have no complaints with the grounds and layout. They were fine. They have card games, church visits, and things like that. It's their way to engage with the residents every day. They have crafts and pretty much what you expect in a facility. They have transportation. The rooms have a home environment for a couple. They're clean. It's an awesome place. When my husband and I reach that age, I think it would be a great place for us too."

"Commander was really good. I liked that they were friendly, good people. The rooms were good. They had two people to a room and private rooms. It was a clean place. "

"I have been in and out of this facility as a guest to some of the residents for many years. I know that this isn't a perfect facility, as there isn't one anywhere but the staff has worked diligently to get my loved one on track so that they would be able to return home. I have enjoyed random visits and have always found my loved one in a clean, well maintained environment. I would recommend Honorage as they have proven numerous times that the care for their residents are the number one priority. Thank You all for your dedication."
