My mother has been in Manorcare for 2 months now. The care that the aides give them is excellent. They're very helpful and they communicate well. They do call me, but when I'm there, we have excellent communication. They have physical rehab where they exercise to keep a full range of movement. They also provide 3 meals a day and transportation for the residents.

Do not use this nursing home Wanted my mom to stay for 2 weeks leaving and taking her back home not even been a week .There is just to much to list what had happened but don’t go here if you love the person wish I had time to look at others but I’m sure their all the same .They have employees that don’t care and won’t help your love one.Very rude people.Place my mom with a person that didn’t have their mind and she got into to my moms stuff and tormented my mom.My mom is so stressed out from this experience and makes me so sad they put her through this

I was recently a patient at Manor Care Kingston Court York Pa. It was the fifth facility I was at due to my condition. By far I consider this facility the best. The care was outstanding from the moment I arrived until the time of my discharge. The CNA'a and Nurses were kind considerate and compassionate at all times. I commend the following employees for their professionalism with my care: CNA's Danny, Megan, Brittany, Sam, Abby, Tamra and Tonya, Nurses Tammy, Rebecca, Brooke, Calzare, Connie, and Kristine. The OT AND PT staff were second to none. Their program offered me the opportunity to gain strength, coordination and techniques to get around in my home with little or no help. A special thanks for the outstanding efforts of the following: OT staff John and Katie. PT staff Donna, Jen, and Heather. These employee taught me the ability to transition home with mnimal efforts. Again an outstanding facility.

My grandmother fell and broke her hip last week and has been moved to kingston from the hospital to recouperate from surgery. She desperately needed to use the bathroom and her call button was left unanswered so she was left to wet the bed. My mother was there with her the next day and my grandmother once again needed to use the facilities. They pushed the call button once again because my mother needed assistance with getting my grandmother up. After 20 minutes of no one showing up my mother grabbed the first person she saw and asked for help. What gives your staff the right to treat someone like that? It's disgusting and disgraceful! They don't deserve a job and YOU don't deserve to have the insurance companies to pay you the hundreds of thousands of dollars that they do. I hope someone leaves you to sit in your pee in the middle of the night for hours on end!

I have heard many complaints about Manor Care North, such as neglect & bad care. My mother was placed in this facility when she suffered a small stroke due to being mis-diagnosed at the hospital. Turns out my mother was dealing with some very terminal cancer in her lung & brain. After the stroke, she could no longer take care of herself, so we put her in the facility Manor Care North. The nurses were polite enough but not very personable when it came to my mother. My mom has good spirit & a great personality, she played around with the nurses & was met with solid faces. They also neglected to answer her call button in a timely fashion & let her pee herself in the middle of the night & told her they were not assisting her until morning. She stayed like that for six hours. She was not there long, & unfortunately needed to be rushed to the hospital from the location a few weeks later. Before calling the ambulance, they called my father & asked if they should send an ambulance. He asked did she need to go to the hospital, & the woman said yes, very urgently, & then asked if they should send her in an ambulance again. They were just very unfocused & seemed not to care about the people they were tending to. My mom ended up passing away at the hospital due to staph infection. I would say Manor Care North gives the minimum needed to stay open.
