My aunt is at Strabane Trails Village, and it's very, very good. Everyone that I've met has been very friendly and very nice. They have very good meals. Her one-bedrooom apartment is spacious, and they clean it once a week. They have an activities director.

I went to see Strabane Trails Village, it was beautiful. The staff who gave me the tour was great, she was knowledgeable and professional. From all their offerings and services, everything looked beautiful, and it was more than I expected. They had the hair salon, they had a very nice church or chapel with an organ, a library, and a very attractive courtyard area. There were several different places where people can congregate.

Apartments are nice, up to date, and clean. My relative has a nice balcony overlooking a park-like area. Staff is very pleasant and friendly. The landscaping is very nice. I like their Christmas decorations. My relative likes Bingo, cards and puzzles. My relative hasn’t gone to any classes at the gym and is not excited about their music programs but I am. My relative doesn’t like the large van transportation because they have to go to other peoples stops. The only way to get around that though is by private vehicle. This is a very nice facility. My relative’s biggest gripe is the food. At dinner, they have soup and sandwiches.. Lunch is their biggest meal but I would not be happy to only have soup and sandwiches all the time for my small meal. My relative says they always have the same vegetables too. From what I can gather, the menu could be healthier too. I take my relative on errands and out to lunch once a week. My relative eats lunch with me like they haven’t eaten for a week. If you visit, maybe you should check out the food in the evening and an evening that is not a special event. I say check it out because I’m just going by what my relative says about evening meals. We did celebrate my relative’s birthday at the facility at lunchtime and they gave us a private room. I thought that meal was very, very good.

I am staying at Strabane Trails Village and it is a wonderful facility. They take care of us very well. We're served two fully cooked meals every day, and there's a breakfast buffet available if we wish to take part in that. The managers are fabulous and go out of their way to take care of our needs. I really think it is a fine arrangement for us. Right now, they have activities for us here like bingo games and entertainment at least three or four times a week. They really are concerned about the residents here. There are approximately 125 units here and they do exceptionally well for us. The food is excellent and they even provide us with some very odd features that many others are not normally used to, like parsnips, rutabaga, and horseradish. They come in every week and clean our apartment. They put new bedsheets on every week and they take care of the bath and shower area. They are very concerned about each unit and each person. It's a little bit pricey though.

My Grandma needed a place to stay, she was unsafe in her home alone, could take care of herself, but was lonely and needed to be watched just in case she fell or needed some extra help. After some long searching, this was the place for her! Everyone there is family to her now and she is happy and safe. I see her weekly and she always has a smile on her face. This decision was hard at first, but after she moved in, her life did a 360! She made friends, has activities to do daily and barely has time for me! lol Life couldn't be better for her, not to mention the food! I would have a Dinner with her occasionally and it was outstanding! The Dining Room is Beautiful and the Service staff is so friendly and welcomes you with open arms. This decision was one of the hardest we ever made, but couldn't be happier. Strabane Trails is now HER home as much as it is OURS.

At Strabane Trails, they have independent living, assisted living, and full care. Everything was good, though very costly. Many people were a little bit older than my dad, so I wasn’t into it as much. Nevertheless, the staff was good and very helpful. The apartments were nice. Everything was nice. They had full-service restaurant, which I like because my dad could go down there and be served or go to the buffet or have food brought up to his room. The facility was very nice; it just had an older atmosphere.

MY mother has been a resident of Strabane Trails for some time. I could not be happier with this residence and staff. The first 6 months were a challenge but it got easier for her as she adjusted to not being in her own home. She is able to enjoy life with a similar age group, whether going on a day trip or enjoying a game after dinner. I am very happy knowing I couldn't have done better! Aging in a "good environment" is key for our elderly.

Strabane Woods was the nicest place of all the places that my dad stayed at the last 3 years. I like that it doesn’t smell. There has been some communication issues but nothing major, nothing that we can’t get over. I’m not unhappy with them at all. The studio apartment is very nice. I’ve eaten there plenty of times; they have 2 different food options. They have all kinds of stuff. My mom doesn’t do any of the activities but she goes to church.

My relative was treated very poorly. Lies were told about her behavior. She was sent to the hospital against her will for a mental evaluation which she passed with flying colors. While in the hospital she was told not to come back. She got along fine with 95% of the staff. It only takes one or two people who want to get rid of you to make false accusations. She had no place to go from the hospital where she couldn't stay because they could find no reason to keep her. She had to be moved to a nursing home with no notice. They never contacted the family no did they give the 30 day notice to move.

My father and I visited Strabane. I thought the place was wonderful. We looked at the room that he was interested in, but it was so tiny. And he didn't feel the facility would accommodate his needs and the people that were there. He thought he wasn't even in the same category with the residents. He didn't feel that he will have control over his own social life there. Everybody is different. He's a loner and for him to socialize with other people even at a meal was stressful.

Starbane Trails had excellent environment. It was more of an independent living and was in a more busy area. The rooms were nice. They had excellent food. They had worship service once a week. They had a list of the different activities and they had a bus that could take them on trips. I would recommend it to others.

While I was taking a tour of Strabane Trails, it felt like home. Not only to my mother but to myself as well. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. from the time we walked through the doors until the time we left the building. It was just amazing how everyone was willing to help. The apartment living was spacious and the amenities were great. My mother would have everything she needed close at hand. She especially liked the fact that if she did not want to prepare a meal in her apartment she could go out to the dining room and enjoy a prepared meal for her. I am glad this was a facility that we decided to look into. It was a great experience for the both of us. If I was to recommend any facility in the Washington County area it would definitely be Strabane Trails Village.
