"My mother is in Country Acres Personal Care Home. It looks good to me, the layout is very convenient, and it's all on one floor. It's a small facility, so there aren't tons and tons of older people, but I think it's fine. The staff has been good so far to my mother, and they're informative by calling me and my brother. I think the only thing she's really done is play bingo because they've been quarantined to their rooms for different times. They have a living room with a TV where they go out to sometimes, but there have not been a lot of activities. The dining area is nice, very open and airy. She doesn't like anybody's food, so I don't think that matters."

"The staff was very friendly and took great effort not only to get to know the residents but their family. They provided great church services which was very important to my grandmother and the friends she met there. "

"Highland Oaks at Water Run was very clean. The facility was only seven years old, so it was newer and fresher. Their policy is that people will age in place. I liked the fact that it sat kind of out of town. There was a lot of open space, a wooded area, and a grass area around it. My parents currently live on a farm, so I feel like my dad would benefit well if he could sit outside and watch the deer and the birds. It looked like they had a lot of activities going on. When the weather permitted, they had cookouts once a week. They had several bedroom options and they had the nicest rooms in terms of layout. The staff was very friendly and helpful. She had gotten advance permission from several residents, and she took us into their rooms. And when we were getting ready to leave, there was one gentleman who just started talking to us and he wanted to show us his room. He just seemed very happy there."

"I visited Sugar Creek Station last year,during the time that my father-in-law was a resident. I remember the first time I went there. It is a large facility and I wondered how I would find him. As I walked in the door, there was a large, welcoming sitting area. There was a stand right inside the door and on it was a book-which listed all the residents in alphabetical order. I had no trouble finding his name and room number. As we came to the end of that room, there were signs, which clearly marked which way to go to find the rooms. Whenever we passed employees in the hall, they were very friendly and asked me if I needed any assistance. One of the things that I appreciated about this facility was the cleanliness. It did not smell like a hospital nor were there any other bad smells. The walls shone, and it seemed a happy place. There were pictures taken with the residents doing some of the activities that were provided for them to do. As we passed the dining room, I was impressed with how much like a dining room it looked and not like a cafeteria. The nurses were very helpful and went the extra mile to help the patients. I was not happy that my father-on-law had to be there-away from his home-but I felt comforted by the fact that he was in such a nice place. "

"The Rouse Suites provide a vey homey, friendly, and comfortable environment for individuals who reside there. The apartments are bright and cheerful. A variety of activities and entertainment are available on a consistent basis. The suites offer a community for their residents."

"We were at Warren Manor a total of three weeks this past month. My mother was there before she went where she is now. The care was adequate. Everything was clean and functional. I don't have anything bad to say about them. I was not allowed to go inside, so I was limited to looking through the window. The staff was fine; I didn't have any issues with the staff. My mother was served meals there and I don't think she had any complaints."

"I toured Cambridge Warren Senior Living for my mother. It is a lovely setting right in downtown Warren. It's right on the river, the Allegheny River, so they have an outdoor patio area, and their dining rooms are overlooking the river. They had a courtyard in the middle of the facility, but it was outdoors, and it was a very nice courtyard for people to be in. I think there was a small gazebo in there. I liked it because it was a smaller facility. I think they have 60 beds, and that also includes memory care. I felt the residents would probably have a little more one on one interaction with the staff because it being a smaller facility. They had suites with a living area, separate bedroom, little kitchen nook, and bathroom. The only downside is the place used to be a motel, so they have built a wall, and I think it was the outside entrances to the motel. They have built a glass wall along the hallway, so now it's interior, but the problem is there is one step up into each suite. For people like my mother, it would be a difficult task to handle, if you're on a walker. They had a lovely activity room with floor-to-ceiling windows, they had a theater with actual theater seats where they do movies, and two beautiful dining rooms."

"While only there for a brief visit, the staff seemed very friendly. They helped us out when trying to locate my aunt, who was in the rec room playing bingo. They tried to get us to go in and play with her but we did not want to interupt the game. When we were visiting with her, the staff always had a joke when they would walk by us. It is a clean facility and they have a very nice courtyard for the residents to go sit out on when it is nice out. "
