My mother who is now 97 has been living at MHS for 9 years. She started out in the independant living apartment and has since moved into a personal care room for the past year, following a debilitating fall. She now receives excellant around the clock nursing assistance, which includes access to an on-site doctor. She also was temporarly placed in the full time nursing care wing following a return from a hospital stay. Though her mental and physical capabilities are more challenging these days, the staff at MHS is well versed in making her feel at home and very special. For those who can afford this type of care for a loved family member, I can only give MHS my highest recommendation and my thanks.

As I approach my 5th month anniversary living at Moravian Hall Square, my expectations were not only met, but have been exceeded. As an educated consumer, I recognize that anyone can sell a product or service, but “delivery” of “a promise” can be another matter. My personal experience these past few months have exposed me to an overall sense of organizational competency, attention to details, emergency protocols, building cleanliness, a plethora of fulfilling activities to keep my mind and body active, and most importantly, a gracious and courteous staff. They genuinely care about us. Also, other residents whom I’ve come into contact with have been reassuring. And, it’s obvious to see their happiness, friendliness, and overall satisfaction with life at MHS. On a scale of 1-10 my rating of MHS is 9.99!

Everything about the Moravian Hall Square experience has been fantastic for my parents and family. From the initial tour, selection of room and signing of contract, move in...to current day, almost two years later, we could not be more pleased with the level of care, service and quality of community. It is comforting to hear the strength in my parents voice on each call, knowing they are safe, cared for and overly engaged in a vibrant community that they really value, appreciate and now claim as their own. The variety and frequency of activities programming is very appreciated, as they are never at a loss for things to do. Its challenging being so far away, but the daily phone calls continue to validate just special Moravian really is to my parents and all of us that care so deeply about them.

The decision to transition from a home to a senior living environment is not an easy one for the individual(s) involved or their families. However, now two years removed from the decision to move to Moravian Hall Square, we could not be more pleased with our experience and at peace with our decision. The grounds and the facility as a whole are first class. The staff and employees are incredibly friendly, considerate and helpful and treat the residents with kindness and warmth. Most importantly, when you talk to the residents themselves, they are happy here. There's a real sense of family. My father is entering his third year here and he believes coming to Moravian was the right move for him. As his son, I live four hours away but visit once a month. Each time I visit, I get in the car for my return trip home happy from seeing again that he could not be in a better environment at this stage of his life. I highly recommend Moravian Hall Square to any family contemplating senior living.

We're very familiar with Moravian Hall Square. We've had other family members there. The facility is beautiful. It's very well kept. It's kept very clean. All of the nursing staff are very kind and nice. You always see maintenance people working on interior things, exterior maintenance to long care. They have lots of social functions for the residents there. They have housing that you can buy into where you don't need any type of assisted care. So you just buy the home and you live in that home. And then if you need care, you can transition into the other care. The staff was very kind, helpful. You have housekeeping. You have nursing. You have the office staff, the front desk people. Everybody is very nice and accommodating. I don't eat the food, but there have never been any complaints about the food, that's always been very well prepared. In assisted living, they have little music concerts, people that come in and play music. They have a van where they take you out. And if you're in the housing where you buy a house, they have tennis courts, swimming pools, bocce ball, and walking trails.

Moravian Hall was very impressive, but it was beyond our price range. The staff was very accommodating and cooperative. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and clean. It’s a full care community. We were invited for a meal and very good food. The dining room was nicely setup and casual. They have a lot of activities going on, and the care they gave to the people really impressed me.

My mother-in-law has been at Moravian Hall Square for at least a decade and we couldn't be more pleased. The apartments are continuously cleaned and well-maintained and all the common areas are regularly updated, renovated and expanded. Valet service is provided for those who have appointments and can no longer drive and even for visits to local stores and events. There are always a variety of activities from which to choose – something for everyone. We've been particularly impressed since our mother started falling and has been in and out of personal care and healthcare. Moravian has kept us apprised of all medical events and various treatments being recommended. The physical therapy department is also amazing. They not only recommend advancement based on physical progress but also on a variety of cognitive abilities. This is designed to prevent problems down the road. Although Moravian, like any similar facility, is sometimes short-staffed, both our mother and we have found the staff very caring, friendly and giving. We highly recommend this facility to anyone who is starting to have difficulty living at home and wants to be well cared for in their advancing years.

My wife is in Moravian Hall Square now. Our experience is good. The rooms are private, and you have your own bathroom. They had activities where they play volleyball with balloons, bingo, singing and having people come in with children. Everything is included in the cost, but it is pretty high.

Almost every apartment at Moravian Hall Square has a sun area. It's setup like everyone else. The staff seems very nice. We toured every part of it. We're going to bring our grandchildren back to tour it pretty soon. It seems fine. It has all kinds of accreditations and they even have a hospice. It doesn't have financial incentives though.
