My mom stayed at Moravian Hall Square Nazareth, PA for rehab. The staff was very good. The staff was very caring, compassionate, and very conscientious with her care. The facility was beautiful and super clean. You almost felt more like you were in a hotel than in a rehab center. The quality of the food was wonderful. When my mom first went in, she was not eating very well, but after being there for a few days, she started eating again because she liked the food. The people who did rehab were very knowledgeable and kind.

My husband and I moved to Moravian Hall Square in June 2023. It is the ideal place to spend our retirement years because it has everything a person, or couple, could possibly want. It can be your final major move because everything one needs is here. My husband and I enjoy our evening meals in the Cafe' where we dine regularly with fellow residents. There is also the Rose Garden Inn for evening meals, which is full service. The food is always excellent and varied in both venues. The monthly calendar delivered to residents is filled with a variety of elective and numerous activities, entertainment and local trips---much more than one can possibly do. Excellent long-term and memory care are available here in the complex, and it is recognized as the best in Pennsylvania. We couldn't be in a better place to spend our final years!

When my cousin-in-law needed to rehab after major surgery, I suggested he try to be admitted to skilled nursing at Moravian Hall Square. We are both so glad he did. He was well taken care of by the staff. They worked tirelessly to get him ready to return to his home. And I, as his POA, was always kept apprised of his progress and needs. When he realized he might need more time to work toward staying in his own home, he returned to MHS, where the staff determined that Personal Care would provide what he needed to achieve his goals. This allowed him to maintain his independence while working toward getting stronger. But when he ultimately realized returning to live alone in his home would not be suitable for him, the dedicated staff helped him decide where he wanted to comfortably and independently live out his life. He now lives in a beautiful one-bedroom apartment with his favorite furniture and treasures around him. He even maintains his vintage car! His needs are taken care of, including medical needs, care and maintenance of his apartment, and dining. The continuum of services available at MHS, from skilled nursing to personal care, allows him to live his life with dignity and independence, knowing that the caring staff is always there for him.

I was introduced to Morning Star Senior living almost 30 years ago when moving to Nazareth, PA. While walking my dogs on the beautifully kept ground's, especially the peaceful glorious Pleasure Garden, where you can meditate along side of the Peace pole and guide you back to nature. I never thought My Beautiful Mom would be blessed enough to reside in this beautiful residence. The gorgeously, charming inside welcomes you in immediately. Bright smiling faces waiting to greet you at this reception desk. Beautiful plants and greenery walking down the halls with the gorgeous artwork of residence fill you with peace and happiness. As you stroll down the halls you are greeted by kind and caring, compassionate staff members, friends & families you may know. You just feel welcome and safe here immediately. You smelling something delicious, it is lunchtime. It’s the talented kitchen staff that love making the delicious food you are smelling, along with many special treats. Once you are done filling your belly, you can head out into the hallway to see the beautiful fish pond. And maybe over to the game room or the library where you can sit with friends and family enjoy the newspaper or a puzzle. It’s just lovely walking down the hallway that’s always so tidy. Church service will begin soon in beautiful Kortz Hall. The beautiful piano music, singing, and words from the Chaplain fills your heart & soul. My Mom is getting sleepy, time for a little nap in her lovely room. By the window, with the sun shining on her comfy chair, she turns on tv for a little music and nap time it is. Having my Mom living here lets me sleep peacefully and confidently at night. Working a full time job knowing the amazing activities dept. is keeping her engaged and happy every day. I feel so grateful for every person here. They care about what they do and they care about my mom. Always working together with my Mom, myself, our family, her Doctors to make the best decisions for her. We are absolutely grateful and blessed. Warm regards,
David Beer

My mother who is now 97 has been living at MHS for 9 years. She started out in the independant living apartment and has since moved into a personal care room for the past year, following a debilitating fall. She now receives excellant around the clock nursing assistance, which includes access to an on-site doctor. She also was temporarly placed in the full time nursing care wing following a return from a hospital stay. Though her mental and physical capabilities are more challenging these days, the staff at MHS is well versed in making her feel at home and very special. For those who can afford this type of care for a loved family member, I can only give MHS my highest recommendation and my thanks.

As I approach my 5th month anniversary living at Moravian Hall Square, my expectations were not only met, but have been exceeded. As an educated consumer, I recognize that anyone can sell a product or service, but “delivery” of “a promise” can be another matter. My personal experience these past few months have exposed me to an overall sense of organizational competency, attention to details, emergency protocols, building cleanliness, a plethora of fulfilling activities to keep my mind and body active, and most importantly, a gracious and courteous staff. They genuinely care about us. Also, other residents whom I’ve come into contact with have been reassuring. And, it’s obvious to see their happiness, friendliness, and overall satisfaction with life at MHS. On a scale of 1-10 my rating of MHS is 9.99!

Everything about the Moravian Hall Square experience has been fantastic for my parents and family. From the initial tour, selection of room and signing of contract, move in...to current day, almost two years later, we could not be more pleased with the level of care, service and quality of community. It is comforting to hear the strength in my parents voice on each call, knowing they are safe, cared for and overly engaged in a vibrant community that they really value, appreciate and now claim as their own. The variety and frequency of activities programming is very appreciated, as they are never at a loss for things to do. Its challenging being so far away, but the daily phone calls continue to validate just special Moravian really is to my parents and all of us that care so deeply about them.

The decision to transition from a home to a senior living environment is not an easy one for the individual(s) involved or their families. However, now two years removed from the decision to move to Moravian Hall Square, we could not be more pleased with our experience and at peace with our decision. The grounds and the facility as a whole are first class. The staff and employees are incredibly friendly, considerate and helpful and treat the residents with kindness and warmth. Most importantly, when you talk to the residents themselves, they are happy here. There's a real sense of family. My father is entering his third year here and he believes coming to Moravian was the right move for him. As his son, I live four hours away but visit once a month. Each time I visit, I get in the car for my return trip home happy from seeing again that he could not be in a better environment at this stage of his life. I highly recommend Moravian Hall Square to any family contemplating senior living.

We're very familiar with Moravian Hall Square. We've had other family members there. The facility is beautiful. It's very well kept. It's kept very clean. All of the nursing staff are very kind and nice. You always see maintenance people working on interior things, exterior maintenance to long care. They have lots of social functions for the residents there. They have housing that you can buy into where you don't need any type of assisted care. So you just buy the home and you live in that home. And then if you need care, you can transition into the other care. The staff was very kind, helpful. You have housekeeping. You have nursing. You have the office staff, the front desk people. Everybody is very nice and accommodating. I don't eat the food, but there have never been any complaints about the food, that's always been very well prepared. In assisted living, they have little music concerts, people that come in and play music. They have a van where they take you out. And if you're in the housing where you buy a house, they have tennis courts, swimming pools, bocce ball, and walking trails.

Moravian Hall was very impressive, but it was beyond our price range. The staff was very accommodating and cooperative. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and clean. It’s a full care community. We were invited for a meal and very good food. The dining room was nicely setup and casual. They have a lot of activities going on, and the care they gave to the people really impressed me.

My mother-in-law has been at Moravian Hall Square for at least a decade and we couldn't be more pleased. The apartments are continuously cleaned and well-maintained and all the common areas are regularly updated, renovated and expanded. Valet service is provided for those who have appointments and can no longer drive and even for visits to local stores and events. There are always a variety of activities from which to choose – something for everyone. We've been particularly impressed since our mother started falling and has been in and out of personal care and healthcare. Moravian has kept us apprised of all medical events and various treatments being recommended. The physical therapy department is also amazing. They not only recommend advancement based on physical progress but also on a variety of cognitive abilities. This is designed to prevent problems down the road. Although Moravian, like any similar facility, is sometimes short-staffed, both our mother and we have found the staff very caring, friendly and giving. We highly recommend this facility to anyone who is starting to have difficulty living at home and wants to be well cared for in their advancing years.

My wife is in Moravian Hall Square now. Our experience is good. The rooms are private, and you have your own bathroom. They had activities where they play volleyball with balloons, bingo, singing and having people come in with children. Everything is included in the cost, but it is pretty high.

Almost every apartment at Moravian Hall Square has a sun area. It's setup like everyone else. The staff seems very nice. We toured every part of it. We're going to bring our grandchildren back to tour it pretty soon. It seems fine. It has all kinds of accreditations and they even have a hospice. It doesn't have financial incentives though.
